The main thing that feminists rely on is for a โ€œtrad wifeโ€ to not have social media. They canโ€™t be in the public square. Canโ€™t be seen or heard from. Because if they can have the love of a man and time for their children AND not be isolated and intellectually lonely, then their jealousy becomes unbearable to themselves.

I find it interesting that many teachers crap on homeschooling by leaning heavily on the fact that it's an insult to them bc they had to spend a ton of time and money to get a job with the state. Sorry, Ashley. My child's life doesn't exist to support your ego and bank account.

Has any Tradwife ever said they thought everything was better 200 years ago or are they just women who choose traditional gender roles and cooking?

@ZyMazza 1 doesnt really do anything but people always make more when they see them but bigger. River rocks or those embedded in the dirt do house and protect plenty of critters. Stacking loose rocks should be totally okay, but so is kicking them down

My 17-year-old niece thinks she gets to gatekeep my DEAD mom's name for my actual baby. You read that right. I'm pregnant and chose a name to honor my mom, who passed away three years ago. I was so excited, told my sister, and she immediately flipped, saying I couldn't use our own mother's name because her daughter (my niece) wants it for her future baby. This girl isn't even pregnant! When I announced the name, my sister and niece went ballistic. They didn't just bash me; they started spreading blatant lies and messaging my friends. It turned into this heartbreaking contest over who our mom loved more, and who loved her more. They know I'm high-risk with this pregnancy. My mom had her struggles and didn't raise me, but I reconnected with her and I loved her. This whole situation broke my heart, and I had to delete all their comments. Should I just use the name anyway? Like, what even is this?

If he couldnโ€™t manage school because the subjects didnโ€™t personally cater to his interests donโ€™t expect him to ever wash a dish or do a load of laundry. โ€œIf I donโ€™t find it fun, itโ€™s not worth doingโ€ high time preference mentality, zero sense of discipline

@MitchC137 @hecubian_devil I agree! But thats what it comes down to. Diff kids have different temperaments and that's what it comes down to for how you're handled in a class setting. Not how smart you are

@cedonull1 @hecubian_devil It's pretty wild to accuse an elementary-aged child (that is what the discussion is about) of lacking "any sense of tact." Like yeah, obviously. Insane to expect otherwise, actually.

@RayGunEtiquette I think its bc the meme is saying being reprimanded for reading ahead is a common thread for rw politics, when like you said it is very common and people have different relationships w this happening

The funniest thing about the whole "guys are just bitter about their school experiences" discourse is everyone for the past 20-30 years unanimously agreed that school was a living hell, but because guys are being more open about it, NOW its suddenly an issue.

@GambelerQuail This did happen to me on several occasions. I mean I get it, you had a lesson planned and it can be difficult to adjust but I really feel like thereโ€™s a better way to handle it then send the kid who read ahead to the principles office lol.

@lazyjademain @GambelerQuail Literally being the kid that reads ahead is ONLY a problem if youre getting off current topics or disrupting the pace of others in some way.

@PompeyTrogue @GambelerQuail In a classroom full of students, you think the child who is comfortable with the content is going to get singled out when other kids need direction? Or is there maybe more to managing a group full of kids with a structured curriculum and class schedule?

@GambelerQuail Not really the point. Of course they'd know more than you, but the problem is teachers resenting students who are above their grade level and thus not engaging. I experienced this-my memory of public Ed is overwhelming boredom until an upperclassman. Some teachers resent it.

Iโ€™m going to go out on a limb here and say that if you were a 135 IQ child and you know this for some reason, and your teacher was 105 or something, that doesnโ€™t actually mean that they had nothing to teach you. You were like 10, you didnโ€™t have an adultโ€™s level of knowledge!

@eduleadership @hecubian_devil They remember how they felt and not what exactly took place. Too many people with this mindset dont spend enough time around kids to really understand the dynamics required

@hecubian_devil I think a lot of adults tend to reframe their poor childhood behavior as suffering at the hands of cruel teachers who didnโ€™t appreciate their geniusโ€”itโ€™s a better story. Your teacher wouldnโ€™t let you read a book? Come on. You got in trouble for mouthing off, not reading.
