@megha_lilly I think theres a big difference between using social media and being a full time influencer
English

The main thing that feminists rely on is for a “trad wife” to not have social media. They can’t be in the public square. Can’t be seen or heard from. Because if they can have the love of a man and time for their children AND not be isolated and intellectually lonely, then their jealousy becomes unbearable to themselves.

@Watchman_motto This for $50k beats an apartment, but an apartment beats it in what it would actually be sold for.
English

It’s plenty and it beats an apartment any day.
Also the perfect house for learning how to do DIY on everything.
City Aesthetics ⛩@cityaestheticss
I want to see more houses of this size built

@AppyOrtho "This is how my meemaw did it and she swore shes not miserable!"

I’ve yet to hear a clear answer as to how exactly stone johnnies “disrupt the ecosystem”

Kick these stupid things down every time you see them. They disrupt the ecosystem.

@Mr_Husky1 She is 17 im sure your sister has a bigger role in this than her.
English

My 17-year-old niece thinks she gets to gatekeep my DEAD mom's name for my actual baby. You read that right. I'm pregnant and chose a name to honor my mom, who passed away three years ago. I was so excited, told my sister, and she immediately flipped, saying I couldn't use our own mother's name because her daughter (my niece) wants it for her future baby. This girl isn't even pregnant! When I announced the name, my sister and niece went ballistic. They didn't just bash me; they started spreading blatant lies and messaging my friends. It turned into this heartbreaking contest over who our mom loved more, and who loved her more. They know I'm high-risk with this pregnancy. My mom had her struggles and didn't raise me, but I reconnected with her and I loved her. This whole situation broke my heart, and I had to delete all their comments. Should I just use the name anyway? Like, what even is this?

@sarvielle He won the moment they explained he was so powerful the only way the people centuries ago could stop him was split him apart and hide the pieces... and he still is alive...
English

this isn’t autism this is the kind of bpd that will make you the topic of every close friends story post and subtweet for the next 2 years after your 3 month situationship

Rizz em with the tism!👌

@hollowearthterf Actually in a classroom of 30 other kids the teacher should entertain me specifically instead of keeping us all on-curriculum
English

@MitchC137 @hecubian_devil I agree! But thats what it comes down to. Diff kids have different temperaments and that's what it comes down to for how you're handled in a class setting. Not how smart you are
English

@cedonull1 @hecubian_devil It's pretty wild to accuse an elementary-aged child (that is what the discussion is about) of lacking "any sense of tact."
Like yeah, obviously. Insane to expect otherwise, actually.
English

I think you were actually just dumb and ill-behaved, tbh. I don’t think actually-smart kids experienced this. They were generally liked and pampered by teachers.
memetic_sisyphus@memeticsisyphus
It’s true, every halfway intelligent right winger I know irl had a massive conflict with at least one elementary teacher over things like: reading ahead, reading too difficult books, not showing enough work, etc etc. it’s the first time we experience the uncaring tyranny of state bureaucracy and it sucks.
English

@RayGunEtiquette I think its bc the meme is saying being reprimanded for reading ahead is a common thread for rw politics, when like you said it is very common and people have different relationships w this happening
English

@BobBob17963292 @GambelerQuail Genuine question for you, when you were sent to the office was it solely because she noticed you read ahead of the class?
English

@GambelerQuail This did happen to me on several occasions. I mean I get it, you had a lesson planned and it can be difficult to adjust but I really feel like there’s a better way to handle it then send the kid who read ahead to the principles office lol.
English

@lazyjademain @GambelerQuail Literally being the kid that reads ahead is ONLY a problem if youre getting off current topics or disrupting the pace of others in some way.
English

@PompeyTrogue @GambelerQuail In a classroom full of students, you think the child who is comfortable with the content is going to get singled out when other kids need direction?
Or is there maybe more to managing a group full of kids with a structured curriculum and class schedule?
English

@GambelerQuail Not really the point. Of course they'd know more than you, but the problem is teachers resenting students who are above their grade level and thus not engaging. I experienced this-my memory of public Ed is overwhelming boredom until an upperclassman. Some teachers resent it.
English

@eduleadership @hecubian_devil They remember how they felt and not what exactly took place. Too many people with this mindset dont spend enough time around kids to really understand the dynamics required
English

@hecubian_devil I think a lot of adults tend to reframe their poor childhood behavior as suffering at the hands of cruel teachers who didn’t appreciate their genius—it’s a better story.
Your teacher wouldn’t let you read a book?
Come on. You got in trouble for mouthing off, not reading.
English

@2Finkle89738 Toxic carrot relationship.. noted... haven't grown root veggies since I was a kid ill keep in mind this year :)
English

@cedonull1 Well it’ll stunt growth as they need space and their own nutrients BUT they look funny as hell
