The trial of a homosexual couple who adopted a baby boy will begin this month in Preston Crown Court in England. Jamie Varley, aged 36, and John McGowan-Fazakerley, aged 31 stand accused of raping a 13 month old baby to death within 3 months of the child being placed in their care. Varley denies the murder and manslaughter of Preston on 27 July 2023. He has also pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault by penetration, five counts of cruelty and one count of grievous bodily harm. He denies 12 counts of taking an indecent photo of a child, two counts of making an indecent photo of a child and one count of distributing an indecent photo of a child. All the charges, involving still images and videos, relateD to Preston Davey and are alleged to have occurred between March and July 2023. He also denies seven counts of possession of extreme pornography, between 2017 and July 2023. Varley is also jointly charged with McGowan-Fazakerley with one count of the sexual assault of Preston Davey, which he denies. His co-accused pleaded not guilty to the same offence and also denies two counts of cruelty and one count of allowing the death of a child. Judge Altham remanded both men, who lived in Grimsargh, near Preston, into custody ahead of a pre-trial hearing on in January. A police investigation first began after officers were called to Blackpool Victoria Hospital at 19:15 BST on 27 July 2023 after the baby was brought in unresponsive. Preston was pronounced dead a short time later.

@NinaPanickssery How you did conduct your 'Boomer' research? Those grandparents I know are dead, in care homes, working or hands on. Your generation generalisations are attention seeking. Take responsibility for your own life.

Genuinely curious—why don’t more people use their own parents/kid’s grandparents for childcare as opposed to daycare/preschool/nannies (which seem more common)? Is it common for boomer grandparents to show disinterest in their grandchildren?

@accountingetc @mrsaverage1 It is right out of the Communist playbook. China turned the young on their elderly by telling them it was the previous generation that caused all the problems. Very scary how it is happening here.

@GIRUxGIRU @techtoby__ @db_fink F#ck off. 'They' worked hard for their homes. Most will be leaving property to their kids who have it tougher than them. Many before this happens, will have to pay thousands toward elderly care, and medical costs. Grow up.

@techtoby__ @db_fink In my area they put their house on sale at an absurd price, keep it up for YEARS until some poor sucker comes along with enough scrounged parental money to buy it off of them. They usually cope about stamp duty, but I doubt they would sell up even if scrapped

Majority of all the 4, 5 and 6 bedroom homes in my area are all occupied by boomers. They spend all day from Spring to Autumn gardening. Some of them can barely bend down. I’ve no idea why they wouldn’t just sell up. Instead they complain about being unable to heat the property. Any time a home comes up for sale, it’s because someone has died. Then a lot of people don’t even want to buy them because they’ve not been decorated since 1985 and have no bath.

There are boomers sitting in large houses who don’t even want to free up equity or sell their house to help their own children get on the ladder. This is the level of selfishness we are dealing with. Thank god for parents like my mother She would sell her house in Tottenham tomorrow if it meant helping me…. And I would do anything to make her life comfortable- that’s what family is about. An eco system of giving. These days many boomers don’t want to help with grandchildren or finacial assistance and children don’t want to help their parents - so much selfishness between recent generations and it will get worse.

@linmeitalks Boomers: collective noun. Does not describe billions of hardworking, selfless individuals. Grandparents, parents, in-laws, extended family, neighbours, colleagues, friends' parents. Do yourself a favour, and haul yourself out of your well of self-pity.

A man photographed recently in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. He has a likeness to someone, but I can’t quite put a name to him, can you? On second thoughts it can’t be who I thought, in Israel, because the BBC and MSM said he was ‘definitely a Russian spy’ so he would be in Russia.

@BasilTheGreat @waitrose @waitrose What is the point in employing security guards if there are no consequences for thieving individuals? Next, it will be customers' phones and wallets. Does citizenship mean nothing to you? Act responsibility. Give this guy his job back.

"There is a serious danger to life in tackling shoplifters. We refuse to put anyone's life at risk and that's why we have policies in place that are very clearly understood and must be strictly followed. "As a responsible employer, we never want to be in a position where we are notifying families of a tragedy because someone tried to stop a theft. Nothing we sell is worth risking lives for. "The reporting on this does not cover the full facts of the situation. While we would never be able to discuss an individual case, we can assure you the correct process is being followed, which includes a standard appeals procedure."

Do you find this with your fresh vegetables? It’s because they store it all in cold storage so it’s not even fresh! So I’ve started buying from odd box or local farmers! Stop buying from large supermarkets! You end up chucking it away! Buy from local farmers !

Do NOT vaccinate your pre-school child against Covid. The Covid vaccines can cause serious injury, disability and death. They do not prevent Covid infection, and they have no long-term safety data. Little children are NOT human shields for unhealthy adults.

Call me skeptical but I don't believe Lindt intentionally did this. Could it be someone , a disgruntled employee for example, that is undermining them by putting this poison in the supply with the intention of suing them for profit?? OR , scientists are creating lab grown chocolate; are they sabotaging Lindt??

Lindt is embroiled in a class action lawsuit alleging "significant amounts of lead and cadmium" in its dark chocolate bars. "That 70% cocoa number is padded with residue and processing byproducts—heavy metals that don't leave your body."

The chocolate giants are poisoning your bloodstream while hiding behind fancy wrappers. Heavy metals like lead and cadmium are not accidents, they are the toxic price of industrial efficiency and cheap sourcing. They dump this filth into the supply chain knowing full well the damage it causes over time. It is a slow motion assault on your health designed to keep you foggy and reliant on their broken systems. Stop trusting the labels, they are just shiny lies.

RSV jabs are currently being pushed - alongside what might be the 12th Covid jab for some! 😲 They want everyone over 75 years (5m of those in the UK) and pregnant women (6-700k of those) jabbed. The patient info leaflet cautions "Guillain-Barré syndrome may affect up to 1 in 1,000." That's c. 5,000 elderly people and monstrously 650 pregnant women paralysed to avoid a mild cold. That's one hell of a lottery 😡

This is Walker Smith. After dedicating 17 years to Waitrose, he was recently dismissed. The reason? For attempting to stop a shoplifter nicking Easter eggs. Yes you read that right. He should be applauded, not sacked. Shameful @waitrose. Re-employ Walker Smith!

You should read again. He didn't go to the GP. He went to his opticians. I don't think you know, but in Britain we have eye-only hospitals with A&E specific for eyes issues. Like Moorfields Eye Hospital. A standard A&E doctor won't do much on the eye, unless there's a non penetrating foreign body to remove or have some topical antibiotics which you can get from the GP.

Yesterday I was advised by my optician to go to A&E about an eye condition that I'd developed. This morning I drove to Torbay Hospital, parked up, walked into the A&E department past about 6 ambulances waiting to offload patients, saw a sea of people in the waiting room with absolutely no idea when their ailment might be looked at and immediately decided to turn around, walk out the door and go home. The UK is becoming more of a third World country than some of the third World crap holes we send money to. Meanwhile I'm having to work longer hours just to stand still. You have to wonder EXACTLY how this will all end. If basic services are ALL declining while the amount of money we pay in taxes is forever increasing it surely won't be long before the whole system completely collapses. I give it 5 years.
