StackOverflow policy is to close any question that uses both C and C++ tags. Apparently it's impossible to have a question relevant to both languages. Every question is moderator nitpicked; @codinghorror @spolsky are you still invested or is Prosus running it? Steep decline.

After years of pretending to be Democrats, Big Tech leaders are now pretending to be Republicans, in hopes of currying favor with the new administration. Beware of the scummy monopoly campaign to vilify competition law as they rip off consumers and crush competitors.

I wish we saw more of this sort of quiet, positive civic engagement from the tech industry. I would pick different charities than @codinghorror did, and articulate a non-identical version of the American Dream, but as he points out, public-spiritedness itself matters the most.

@Arithmomaniac I encourage you to write in public what your interpretation of the Dream is, and reference my post. I think we all have more in common than we original dream than realize, but it was never fully articulated and modernized over time.
