@prakayastha1 I'd say not worth it on grad student budget, I recently stumbled across a really good old hp kit keyboard at my library (membrane !). The keyboard chooses you. Maybe yours comes with a cup of tea.

@commandpaul Assembled mechanical keyboards are over £100 so I'm like do I really want to spend that much or should I just train my fingers for this new keyboard muscle memory idk lol

Having a personal laptop with an Indian keyboard and an office computer with a British keyboard makes me feel very disoriented ⌨️

@prakayastha1 Aeyy, Life savers they are. Too bad Open AI Codex will take over "soon" enough, won't need them after that. Till then for posterity.

@commandpaul Lenovo Thinkpad is the best, I do agree. I recently shifted to Apple for my personal laptop (M1, not butterfly phew) and the office computer is also a wireless magic keyboard. TBH I really just miss the home, end, page up, page down keys instead of using shortcuts.

@prakayastha1 Yeah the entry level is bizarre, I suffered a set of knock-off cherry blues for a year (w-(click)-o-(click)-r-(click)-s-(click)-t-(click)decision ever) and am firmly camp Thinkpad keyboard best keyboard now. Cherry brown/red,Apple low travel (not butterfly) are pretty good ngl.

@commandpaul Yes, I've seen the links of keyboards that are about £40ish but idk they don't look that great but I don't want to spend any more than that, you know what I mean?

Our children's @philips electric toothbrush contains a 32-bit ARM processor, clocked at 48MHz. I've even got the development tools for the Cypress PSoC 4, and they've nicely labelled the debug pads. It's just a toothbrush. Really.
