📢 ISCSS is hiring a Part-Time Events & Communications Coordinator! The International Society for Computational Social Science (ISCSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and creative coordinator to help us engage with the global CSS community. 💻 Remote | ~20 hrs/week | $18–22/hour

The Summer Institute in Computational Social Science (SICSS) at @CSSPenn recently concluded. Bringing together social and data scientists for an intensive program focused on interdisciplinary research and collaboration, SICSS invited doctoral candidates, faculty and industry experts to spark new discussions and consider different perspectives.

Last week, @csspenn, @Meta, @DirectRelief and @crisisreadiness co-hosted a workshop on how AI and novel data can support crisis response. Emergency leaders from across the region gathered to discuss tools and strategies to prepare for events like @FIFAWorldCup. #AIforGood

@AlexCEngler The goal of the center is to position Penn as a leader in the area Media, Technology, and Democracy through a combination of connecting existing efforts at Penn and creating new programming.

Alex is bringing his deep expertise in public policy, data science, and higher education, with previous experience at the White House, the Brookings Institution, and in academia at Georgetown and the University of Chicago.
