@DanMittendorf Hi Daniel - not 100% sure what you mean by automatic region validation, but multi-region deployment is on our roadmap. The asynchronous method you're referring to cannot be used with lambda (as it's a limitation of lambda), and so our advanced integration was meant to help here

Hey @dashbotio crew! Trying to improve / lower latency for my #Alexa #Skill, so I removed your Dashbot npm package from my Alexa code and the results were fantastic! This raises a question: Why does the #Dashbot service increase latency? Is there anything you can do about it?

@DanMittendorf Hey Daniel! So as you alluded to, the latency is related to lambda & regions. We actually have an "advanced integration" to help solve this latency issue: dashbot.io/docs/alexa/ale…

Oh, and one last thing: This only happens with a Lambda function located in eu-west-1. The same code as Lambda in us-east-1 doesn't have that latency issue. Latency with Dashbot in us-east-1 is almost the same as eu-west-1 without Dashbot.
