@decoded0 @Diazxb05 @Genesis2006173 @FantasyWorldW1 If you’re saying Rhaenyra forced him because of the power imbalance and the death penalty, then you have to admit Alicent is doing the exact same thing she’s the Queen Mother, he’s still a Kingsguard, and the penalty is still death.

“he didn’t feel coerced” he did feel coerced, he was literally moments away from being executed if anyone found out about the night. a fact he knew when he asked to run away, a fact he knew when Rhaenyra forced him to sleep with her, and a fact he knew the very next episode when he begs Alicient to execute him without torture.

@Diazxb05 @Genesis2006173 @decoded0 @FantasyWorldW1 He’s a grown ass man who knew exactly what his vows meant. He didn’t feel coerced when he was begging her to run away to Essos the next morning he felt entitled. You can't be a victim of power while simultaneously trying to convince the heir to the throne to quit her job for you

@chatgpt21 I feel like my original, half kidding, hypothesis is borne out--Zuck wanted to put a bunch of competitor talent on garden leave so that Meta could decrease p(doom) and buy time.

I really don’t understand zucks play here. If you wait till May you’re now competing against Sonnet 5 GPT 5.5 Grok 5 And now they’re going to be even MORE behind by May. Why risk another pre train run. Nobody is going to be upset if it’s behind. But waiting till the competition keeps pushing with RSI is a terrible move IMO. They have to have some crazy level breakthrough in order to make it back from this

@HHjrm48133 @whistleandrun @LizaRosen0000 where did I mention Jewish children? So illiterate. America needs to send more money to third-world Israel who is incapable of defending itself. Typical jewish grammar, illiteracy, and spelling.

Chatbots shouldn’t claim to be a doctor, lawyer or any other licensed professional. My bill, S7263, stops chatbots from impersonating licensed professions while allowing those bots to still give advice. Here’s a thread on what the bill does/doesn’t do & why it’s important:🧵(1/6)
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

A New York bill would ban AI from answering questions related to several licensed professions like medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, psychology, social work, engineering, and more. The companies would be liable if the chatbots give “substantive responses” in these areas.

Nice copy/paste. Humans hallucinate far more than AI. This bill doesn’t put forth a way for AI to get a license, so your attempt at a cute tag line means nothing. It’s like saying a calculator needs an engineering license. It’s clear you don’t know much about AI, e.g. how to incorporate RAG pipelines to agentic workflows with tools and guardrails.

@decoded0 @SenGonzalezNY @Survive_thriver AI is not smart. It doesn’t know anything. It hallucinates information and always will. And then it relays that information with the same cheerful confidence as it does when it tells you anything else. If a human can’t practice law or medicine without a license why should AI?

Because the alternative is even worse. Either you can’t afford a doctor or you can afford a doctor that’s dumber than AI anyways. People like you need to stop pretending that humans are the gold standard - when they’re actually so innately dumb - and harming really people’s lives.

@JeffLadish Maybe read the bill and not just the misleading tweet? All it does is apply the same unlicensed practice laws to humans and AI. Why would you want an unregulated chatbot that lack clinical validation and post-deployment safety monitoring to be giving people medical advice?

@TheTerribleTeam @JeffLadish The difference is they don't use it for legal advice. They use it for research to inform the legal advice they give. And maybe drafting. Neither one of those activities is regulated practice of law. Giving legal advice is.

What does this bill do to allow AI to have licenses? AI can pass the MCAT and any medical board exam better than 99% of doctors. Forcing the use of a doctor is lowering standards. Doctors are so much dumber than AI. This bill is going to kill people. Why should AI usage be limited because people like you are incapable of using it correctly?

@801formal_llama @SenGonzalezNY It’s not “professional gate keeping” to demand licensing standards for what is ostensibly professional advice. Lowering standards doesn’t democratize anything, it prevents the slopification of healthcare and legal services.

@Gonzalez4NY @portakowski @SenGonzalezNY Quote the bill not a person’s tweet. This is intentionally deceptive. We both know the bill does not only pertain to impersonation, which is why you’re not quoting it.

@portakowski @SenGonzalezNY No under current law this is not impersonation—this bill only applies IF a chatbot explicitly says it is a licensed professional (as has been documented & reported on) and then gives advice.
