💥Susan Dyer Reynolds🗞️
This is from a Jackie Fielder Instagram story that ran at around 3 a.m. on the day she had “turmoil in her office” and checked herself into the hospital.

In the wake of Jackie Fielder saying she planned to resign her post, District 9 leaders closed ranks. They said the decision was ultimately hers & wished a speedy recovery, but hoped she would stay on—they are wary of Mayor Lurie picking her replacement. missionlocal.org/2026/03/sf-jac…

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF claude! you can just run claude in the folder and start interrogating the data. obv take anything it says with a grain of salt, but i ran a few prompts and the results matched what the summary reports said, so i think it's fairly reliable.

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF 17,235 ballots listed Trevor Chandler at any rank in the District 9 Supervisor race. 32,731 ballots had at least one vote in D9. So ~53% of voters put him on their ballots.

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF FWIW, I'm not pretending 60% of the voters don't exist. That's an absurd framing. They voted for someone who doesn't want the job. I'm proposing the mayor selects someone that more than 50% of D9 supervisor voters put on their ballots.

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF Sure, re-tabulating RCV is another way to cut it. If my simulation is correct, Hernandez would've won if Fielder dropped out of the race after votes were cast. You could argue this is more democratic than picking the second-most popular candidate from the final round.

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF I didn't propose re-tabulating RCV. I said Chandler was the most second-most popular candidate in the final round. More than half of D9 supervisor voters listed him as a choice on their ballots, so I would not describe him as unpopular.

@JimCarrollSF @MLNow @Trevor4SF You can't pretend 60% of voters in D9 don't exist If you really want to re-run IRV like you are proposing then then you need to re-assign her votes to another candidate like Stephen Torres Chandler doesn't win if Fielder isn't in the race, because Chandler is unpopular in D9

@bryanculbertson @MLNow @Trevor4SF Option 1 is irrelevant. Option two would violate the charter. And option 3 is what I’m proposing. Our rank choice voting system effectively works this way, by incrementally choosing the next-most popular candidate until someone wins.

@JimCarrollSF @MLNow @Trevor4SF There is a gradient here obviously Most democratic would be: 1. Fielder recovers and keeps her seat 2. Voters choose 3. Mayor appoints someone popular in the district None of the democratic options is Mayor appoints an unpopular loser that majority of the district rejected

@bettersoma @SusanDReynolds They will poor bleach on your food if it’s slightly over temp, which is well and good, but then they turn around and do nothing about these dirty dog vendors. It is absurd.

@SusanDReynolds Susan. I’ve gotten health inspections for 17 years. They treat me like I’m a criminal. A failure at every level. Jollibee is coming soon.

It’s an inconvenient truth, but in Massachusetts the “No Kings” rally is linked to the “Hands off Iran” movement. It’s literally funded and organized by the same people brainwashing democrats into believing the victims of October 7th are the perpetrators. Trump sucks, but I will not promote hostile foreign governments trying to meddle in US politics. I seem to remember when Democrats were upset about Russia taking similar actions. I have the unfortunate burden of holding myself to the same standards I hold others to.

@BriannaWu It’s interesting you’ve done multiple tweets over the last 24 hours either talking about Kylie Minogue or complaining about pro-Palestine supporters, yet no mention of the nation-wide No King rallies against Trump. For a alleged “Democrat”, you have odd priorities 🤔
