This can have other benefits, like making air cleaner which reduces health issues and helping people lower their energy bills by adding insulation.

Net implies that we will be able to buy carbon credits in order to travel and therefore emit carbon. The idea is to offset emissions by paying a tax, which subsidises the planting of trees in a different part of the world. It’s a scam to enable the super rich to continue life with restrictions, while the rest of us are locked within our towns.
