@JosephLaMagna How is it much different than the Masters which has a 92 man field including 20 uncompetitive past champions and amateurs (with only offset for masters vs most signature events being 3 LIV stars)
@Top100Rick Take Aways from the 2026 Masters
1. The best golfer is the golfer who handles the pressure best. Rory was the best golfer.
2. American are whiny little bitches
5 Takeaways from the 2026 Masters:
1: There is no such thing as a “free wheeling” Rory. He wants to not care as much, but he always will. Winning a Masters is never easy.
2: Scottie is still the best hitter of the golf ball and it’s not that close.
3: The Masters is at risk of overexposure for the first time. The Par 3 and non stop coverage and merch hauls and social media is too much.
4. Back 9 pressure is real. The setup wasn’t super hard. No wind. And yet bad shots were hit over and over.
5. Augusta National is the best golf course. The risk and reward scenario is presented here better than anywhere in golf. It’s more strategic than any other golf course that exists.
@Laner2021@Top100Rick I don’t understand your take the par fives being too long. Every one of them is reachable too. 13 and 15, if guys hit good drives they’re hitting mid irons into them.
@Top100Rick No penalty for driving ball badly
The par 5s are to long now 13 and 15. Less eagles and less excitement.
No one wants to watch everyone lay up on those holes for birdies like Zach Johnson
Rory played like shit tee to green and won he woulda been +5 at a us open.
Hot take: Finally just watched Top Gun: Maverick. It’s was not good. Much similar to Happy Gilmore 2, tried bring back too many old vibes that fell short. Some flight scenes were cool. But thoroughly unimpressed with the movie. It’s why sequels 30 years later just fail.
@dpshow@HiMyNameIsSeton I’m 58 and I have listened to you guys from the beginning. From the inception of the show. Seton is absolutely one of my favorites. Gonna miss him on the day to day but look forward to seeing what’s next.
It’s gonna be a weird thing to not have the DP show on in a couple of years
After 6,766 shows, Friday will be Seton's final day on the radio show.

Your annual reminder that it is a grave injustice that millions of people in NC are bizarrely in the Baltimore/DC MLB TV market (and thus totally blocked from watching their MLB teams play in BAL/DC, even when subscribed to the MLB season package).
NC State not being able/willing to match this number I’m hearing Schertz wanted is very troubling. This should have been a layup for a program serious about competing.
Both guys have risks but TBH I think Schertz comes with more risk…
Schertz:
- Never coached at the P4 level
- Offense may not translate
- Can he recruit?
- Defense is meh
- May use us as stepping stone
Gainey:
- Never been a HC
- TN offense is meh
@JBBurner12 My biggest argument for Justin Gainey is that he will want to be here long-term.
I think if we sign either of the other two, they’ll be gone within five years IMO.
