I’ve recently had the pleasure of attending the @BioCommission Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense for their release of the 2024 Blueprint for Biodefense, with @RajPanjabi, @GovRidge, @DaschleGroup, @RepFredUpton, @JimGreenwood, @DHSgov’s Ken Wainstein, and @DrAshaMGeorge; as well as meeting @RepDianaDeGette and @swedishconsul @Cam_Mellander on separate occasions to discuss the future of AI, biodefense, and biotechnology as relates to @Ligandal’s mission and vision, the soon-to-be-announced Biodefense Foundation, and the future of US and global biosecurity as well as critical 21st century biomedical research. I also had the pleasure of meeting @astro_marcus, the third Swedish astronaut to visit space, who conducted scientific experiments aboard the International Space Station @ISS_Research. Together, we can create a safer planet where viruses that know no borders can be mitigated and stopped predictively, preemptively, and definitively, and diseases can be treated at their cause, not for their symptoms. A special thanks and shout-out to the many visionaries, policymakers, truth-seekers, and wonderful people securing our future.

Agreed with @WillManidis — ownership of personal genomics data is extremely sensitive and shouldn’t be sold to third parties or owned in such a way that anyone other than the recipient of the test can link the genomics data back to an identity. This serves as an even bigger issue when considering biowarfare threats of the 21st century and beyond.
