@iRacing I know you have a policy of forcing users to use their real names as a way of encouraging clean racing and discouraging trolling and cyber bullying, but VTubers have separate public personas, in part due to the real harm that the persons portraying them have faced from stalkers and others. A popular VTuber like Pipkin Pippa racing on your platform would be a massive boon for you. Additionally, there are many Sim Racers who enjoy VTuber content. Not allowing VTubers to race using their personas strongly encourage these Sim Racers to use the competition instead.

@SabreKnightly @planefag Not the greatest Anime merch store in terms of variety of merch, but I remember the legendary Anime World in Chantilly before it shut down, and I also have been to Akihabara and Nakano Broadway and everything pales in comparison to Nakano Broadway.

@KadenaSKK It’s also a Vape Store upstairs where they keep the Gunpla and Trading Cards. If only they sold Pipe Tobacco and Cigars instead or in addition, then all my non-Alcoholic vices could be acquired in one place.

I haven’t really run into Fudds in gun stores near me. But I unfortunately live in Northern Virginia and word gets out quickly which gun stores are run by Fudds and which are based, leading to self-segregation. My current favorite FFL is an NFA dealer in the basement of an Anime Merch store. The staff of the Anime store can tell what I’m buying from the FFL by whether I go upstairs to look at their Gunpla and trading card section first (long gun), the basement to start paperwork for whatever I’m getting transferred in first (pistol or NFA item), and if the latter, if I come back up empty handed (killing time during the background check for a pistol). Led to a funny conversation one time when I picked up a can and the cashier at the Anime store tried to ring up the box it was in.

So were mine when I picked up my .22 Kriss Vector (bought because I needed a .22 and I wanted something that would piss off the Democrats in Richmond) on the day they were doing a Pokemon box set release and I carried a big box saying “KRISS VECTOR” and a stack of Gunpla boxes out the front door past the lined up Weebs who were like “WTF?”

Having previously lived in Japan, my perception hasn’t changed all that much. Except that the younger people online are wildly more in favor of strict enforcement of Copyright Law despite Japan’s strong Doujinishi culture, compared to older Otaku I encountered while over there who were still selling and trading stolen animation cells in little shops in back alleys and extensively traded VHS tapes back in the day.

Kentucky or Tennessee is probably Whiskey (although Virginia has good Whiskey as well). Texas, a cowboy hat. Or something from the World’s greatest gas station Buc-ee’s. Pennsylvania, it depends on where in the State, but a Giant Hersey Bar from Hershey’s Chocolate World is probably a good pick. A safe choice is a ballcap from the local State University’s Athletic Program but be careful wearing it while stateside because College Sports rivalries are Serious Business. Wearing a University of Michigan hat in Ohio or a UGA hat in Alabama might get you cut.
