My book, published by @WarOnPantsPanel, just went live on Kindle!
Thanks to @ScarlettxDraws for the cover art, and @AlitaartsX for the alternate cover art (found inside).
It’ll be soon launching as a paperback and hardcover on Amazon and paperback at Barnes and Noble!

I love how the National Association For Gun Rights has gone from incurring the wrath of Gun Weebs to helping them pile on.

@MrLeadslinger @mjfree The Girls Frontline fanbase has been summoned and is attempting to prove you wrong.

@SabreKnightly @planefag Not the greatest Anime merch store in terms of variety of merch, but I remember the legendary Anime World in Chantilly before it shut down, and I also have been to Akihabara and Nakano Broadway and everything pales in comparison to Nakano Broadway.
English

@SabreKnightly @planefag If you make it back before the Bullshit Laws go into effect, look up Senpai’s Corner in Old Town Herndon for the Anime merch store. Herndon Arms is the FFL/NFA Dealer in the basement.

My brothers - a Japanese bro needs to know everything there is about American gun store culture. The fudds, the cool guys, the heights, the pits, the triumphs and perils. The dank memes and the fudd memes.
Please help out my fellow writer in his time of need.

@KadenaSKK It’s also a Vape Store upstairs where they keep the Gunpla and Trading Cards. If only they sold Pipe Tobacco and Cigars instead or in addition, then all my non-Alcoholic vices could be acquired in one place.

So were mine when I picked up my .22 Kriss Vector (bought because I needed a .22 and I wanted something that would piss off the Democrats in Richmond) on the day they were doing a Pokemon box set release and I carried a big box saying “KRISS VECTOR” and a stack of Gunpla boxes out the front door past the lined up Weebs who were like “WTF?”

Having previously lived in Japan, my perception hasn’t changed all that much. Except that the younger people online are wildly more in favor of strict enforcement of Copyright Law despite Japan’s strong Doujinishi culture, compared to older Otaku I encountered while over there who were still selling and trading stolen animation cells in little shops in back alleys and extensively traded VHS tapes back in the day.

Kentucky or Tennessee is probably Whiskey (although Virginia has good Whiskey as well). Texas, a cowboy hat. Or something from the World’s greatest gas station Buc-ee’s. Pennsylvania, it depends on where in the State, but a Giant Hersey Bar from Hershey’s Chocolate World is probably a good pick.
A safe choice is a ballcap from the local State University’s Athletic Program but be careful wearing it while stateside because College Sports rivalries are Serious Business. Wearing a University of Michigan hat in Ohio or a UGA hat in Alabama might get you cut.
English

@tuuu28283 Depends on where you’re at. And also what you’re doing. If you visit Virginia, especially the Tidewater area, a tricorn from Colonial Williamsburg is a must.

@erkenglish @drxiaolongbao We technically have a separate recognized “Constitution Day” but nobody gets the day off for it, and it’s mostly only used by History Professors and Lawyers to educate the public about our Constitution.

@drxiaolongbao 建国記念の日の話はしました!そしたらへ~って言ってましたね。。

@erkenglish Independence Day is kinda Tanabata and Showa Day rolled into one day, with a touch of Obon added in. Especially Tanabata with it being our primary Summer Festival.

We Lutherans acknowledge Luther was imperfect, being a poor miserable sinner as all men save Christ are, and prone to rage. He spent most of his life advocating for better treatment of Jews, especially at the beginning of the Reformation, believing that if the corruption in the Church could be cleansed they would accept Christ, and only changed his mind after being firmly rejected in his attempts to witness to them later in life, at which point he did what he always did when someone pissed him off and wrote a bunch of angry writings.
Meanwhile thousands of Jews were saved by Lutheran Pastor and Theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who also assisted in the plot to remove Hitler from power, leading to his Martyrdom, while the Catholic Church collectively did nothing and in some cases even collaborated with the Nazis.
English

@lecternleader Don’t ask them about Luther’s new concept of reflexive faith. It about the many times the devil confirmed his teachings. Or the book that was used as the playbook for the holocaust. They get defensive and don’t want you to know it.

The ELCA allows female and trans pastors, but the ELCA is kinda patient zero for the liberal theology infecting the mainlines - the rot was starting to infect the LCMS though liberal professors at the LCMS’ Concordia Seminary, and the LCMS kicked them out in the Seminex affair, only for them to infect other mainlines and the Lutheran synods that merged to become the ELCA.
In Lutheranism you have WELS and ELS, who are ultra-conservative and the last Ultra-Conservative Mainline, you have the LCMS and aligned synods like NALC who are conservative with LCMS being the last large Conservative Mainline Protestant Group, the LCMC who are a bunch of moderate to conservative churches that mostly do their own thing but have a lot of churches that are a weird hybrid of Lutheran and Pentecostal/Charismatic in the group, and then you have ELCA, which is a part of the Mainline Liberal Inter-Denominational Communion of Suck with the PCUSA, UMC, the Episcopal Church and the other mainlines. The ELCA also now rejects in part The Book of Concord, the core Lutheran Confessions, making them Lutheran in name only.
English

@OkeeMike @JiveTurkey56 @lecternleader @grok ELCA is Lutheran in name only, having abandoned the Lutheran Confessions for Liberal theology. The founding of the ELCA is tied into the LCMS throwing liberal Seminary professors out of their Seminary, who then joined and infected the synods that merged to form the ELCA.
English

@lecternleader Enjoy female pastors.
@grok what does the bible say about female leaders in church?

Most magical girl cute animal mascots are like this. It’s why Kyuubi in Madoka Magica is such a hatable little shit, he plays on that expectation that the cute mascot knows everything and is pointing the Magical Girl in the right direction to seduce young girls into becoming Magical Girls for his bullshit plan to stop the Heat Death of the Universe or whatever. Homura going after him is essentially a more unhinged Michael Weston in Burn Notice going after the assholes who Burned him for personal gain.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha has the most logical ones that sorta break the trope. Yuuno, the closes to the archetype, is Boy Genius Space Magic Indiana Jones who sticks to his ferret form to not scare the Earthlings while he heals from getting his ass kicked and trains Nanoha, Fate has a Wolf puppy who doesn’t know everything but helps wreck shit for her and protects her, and Hayate has a Wolf Knight who wrecks shit harder but has wrong information.

Are we sure Lumi and @Katsudon don’t share a brain cell? On the way to CTCon years ago, I once almost threw him out of my truck and abandoned him on the side of the interstate because he wouldn’t stop it about “knife ears” and he’s continued to use the same exact phraseology when talking elves ever since.
