🚨JUST IN: FIRELIGHT'S TVL SURGES 93% IN SINGLE WEEK @Firelightfi, which allows users to stake $XRP in return for an LST on @FlareNetworks, has seen its TVL explode over the past week by some 92.64%. According to DefiLlama data, Firelight's TVL now stands at some $69.55 million.

DeFi is flying without a parachute. DeFi has a massive TVL, but we are all flying without a parachute. Right now, only 2% of the capital is actually insured. We just saw the mess with @ResolvLabs. Contagion happens because we rely on static insurance models for smart contracts that change every single day. A contract can be created on Monday, audited on Tuesday, and exploited by Wednesday. @Firelightfi is trying to change this by moving from programmable to intelligent insurance. Traditional models like @NexusMutual rely heavily on human committees and social trust. Firelight uses AI to monitor parameters constantly. In DeFi, one single flaw is a death trap. A protocol with a lower but steady safety score is actually safer than one that looks perfect but has a single high-variance attack vector. The AI advantage comes from divergence testing and dynamic premiums. Firelight runs multiple AI models on the same data. If the models disagree on the risk, the insurance premium spikes. You don’t get a fixed price; you get a range that widens if the risk is unknown. The AI even invents black swan scenarios to stress-test protocols, helping teams fix bugs before they happen. Could this have predicted the Resolv contagion? The issues there weren't exactly new, so a data-driven model should have seen the red flags. However, the big question remains: will the cost of these premiums eat all our yield? If the premium is too high, people won't buy it. But if we keep seeing teams with bad practices blow up, we have to ask ourselves if that 15% yield is worth losing 100% of the principal. DeFi insurance is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity.
