Start something new, bring an existing app to Flare, or build a meaningful new integration. The goal is simple: create something with real utility and a reason to keep growing after the hackathon ends. $12,000 in prizes across two tracks: 1. Interoperable Asset Products Build products that make assets more useful across Flare and connected ecosystems. 2. FIP.16 is being activated across both the execution and protocol-reward layers. Today’s fork raises the C-chain base fee floor to 500 gwei, expands maximum validator stake to 300M FLR, and introduces a 20% minimum validator delegation fee. Reward epoch 417 then activates the new vote-power and reward calculations, with P-chain stake weighted 5× relative to C-chain delegation. FTSO and FDC providers must upgrade to Flare Systems Deployment v1.5.4 and refresh their configuration before July 20 at 05:00 UTC.

Another major piece of FIP.16 is live. Today's hard fork raises the base gas fee to 500 gwei (from 25). Every transaction now burns more flare-networks:native, and validator capacity rises to 300M FLR. What's next: ☀️ FDC request fees begin flowing to FIRE: 90% direct, 10% distributed alongside inflation. ☀️Vote power recalculates, with P-chain stake weighted 5× delegation. Stake placed now is already counted when the new calculation goes live.

The next generation of onchain finance will depend on more than moving assets. It will depend on making high-integrity real-world data directly usable by smart contracts. Kweather plans to bring meteorological data through the FTSO, giving developers the onchain inputs needed to build parametric insurance, weather derivatives, and climate-risk applications. My Honest Feedback on @MysticSeeds. This is another product participating in the @FlareNetworks hackathon and a very good project with the narrative they are bringing to the ecosystem. Firstly, The UI is simple & clean and easy to navigate for every users. Adding a GreenPaper on what the project is all about is a good call. ➠ The area of Tokenomics, I want to ask if this is a continuity project after the hackathon 👈 Adding the amount of $MYS in the Reward Pool is pretty good. I like the fact they added the faucet link on their platform for users to get testnet tokens ( $C2FLR) to be able to get $MYS. ———————— My Understanding About Mystic Seeds $MYS is the Mystic Seed token on the platform used for minting seeds and other activities on the platform. To get $MYS, users will need to use @blaze to swap $C2FLR to $MYS Minting 1 Seed cost 900 $MYS and 100% of payments go to treasury. You Sprout after minting Seeds In all these, users will buy MYS, mint seed and tend to their plant which will harvest $MYS.. I'll update this once Sprouting goes LIVE in 12 hours.
