@cityofwinnipeg called 311 on 12/27 to report uncleared sidewalk in front 281 Pacific Ave, CSR informed me someone would investigate the next day. This address is in front of church where many elderly attend. I was there today 01/03 and it’s been unserviced (person in pic)

@cityofwinnipeg I can’t say that is very safe for the citizens of our city. Doesn’t surprise me though. For the specific intersection request, when I said “ALL THE INTERSECTIONS IN THE MAPLES” I thought that was specific enough, I guess the prior answer is par for the course, SAFETY FIRST!

@cityofwinnipeg sidewalk plow pushed all the snow into all the side streets and back lanes down Pipeline Road this morning. Also needs sanders at all the intersections in Maples as every one is sheer ice now.

They’re delusional if they think they can compete with the NFL. I’ve watched the entire CFL season and now I have to miss the Championship game that my Riders are playing in. Make it make sense!!

I believe a major apology should be issued by @PeterDyakowski @rodpedersen and @therealballsy . All three of them had their current “Americanized shtick” dismantled this morning. If they continue on their current trend of cheap shots and unfounded/unsubstantiated claims about the league and its commissioner. They should at least peel the veil of themselves. The 3 of them have been insanely anti-CFL and anti-Canadian football. They should just own that instead of pretending they are supporters.

@Ticats Was the team benches always on the same side of the field? My memory before 2015 and earlier, every field in the CFL had teams on opposite sides of the field.

The CFL has announced a series of enhancements beginning in 2026. Starting next season, the players’ benches will be located on opposite sidelines. The Tiger-Cats will remain on the west sideline, while visiting teams will move to the east sideline.

@tbagg_13 @GregOnSports Wasn’t the teams always on opposite sides of the field up until like 5 years ago. BC Place or whatever it’s called been around for a while and I remember them using both sides. If space is an issue in specific stadiums, how they going to do this?

@cityofwinnipeg I read your attachment. Mid-April is start of operation, 8-10 weeks to paint intersections. That timeline brings all intersections to be done by the beginning of July. No paint/markings have been put down at multiple intersections on McPhillips this season.

@cityofwinnipeg what’s the deal with the line markings on the streets? Driving down McPhillips, you have stop lines, pedestrian lines at every other intersection. Then you have no paint on the road at Jarvis and then at Logan, if you haven’t noticed, a pretty busy intersection.

@cityofwinnipeg Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my original comment. I wasn’t complaining about the type of lines on the ground, I was complaining about no lines at all on the ground. It’s almost September and these are busy intersections.

@johnIrish007 @themadsloth The LCBO just needs to look to the province west of them, the MLL had the exact problem and fixed it under a conservative govt. Must present govt ID and recorded before entry into store, theft is basically non-existent now.

In the case of lcbo being robbed the answer is simple.. privatize it. The alcohol would then be sold in small shops where the owners would be more vigilant in stopping the shoplifters. The shoplifters fafo and really fast. In terms of the rest.... well crime pays... the liberals want more crime so that the citizens beg for more laws which in turn get used against them... it's communism 101....that's what the liberal government wants...
