@catholicpat Normally I am prepared for Mass and know the feasts, this week I was not and talk about a spiritual punch. It was moving to say the least.
English

@Sachinettiyil My pastor spent part of the homily talking about how cruel crucifixion was. I never really think about the torment our Lord endured on the actual cross. It was moving, especially with the events of the week. Stay safe and in peace my brother.

@gatorgar @michaelwilde Just go, sit in the back if you want a view of what the assembly/congregati9n are doing. If it’s an apostolic church, you cannot receive the Eucharist without rites of initialtion, but most allow you to approach with your arms crossed for a blessing, ask first
English

@SamanthaRedeemd @HugeHunkOfSwiss Because there is a reply made by the priest, then Catholics respond with that line, Protestants removed the priestly response and just keep going. We do say that part though, just a few seconds later in Mass.
English

@HugeHunkOfSwiss I've been praying the Lord’s prayer lately and have been wondering how that line got added, because I don't see it in the scripture? At least not in NIV
English

@SamanthaRedeemd You cannot partake in the Eucharist without the rites of initiation or with any grave sin you haven’t confessed or without fasting bless you have a medical reason.
Enjoy the beauty and be prepared to not understand everything going on, but be willing to ask questions later.
English

@greggbolinger You mean you don’t already eat and work at the same time?
English

@michaeljknowles But, if the NO was chanted in Latin with the readings being in the local language, it could be more amazing.
English

@MissBeck12 @indianajones996 @JackPosobiec Um, you would be wrong. Priests cannot be married, but married men, in some circumstances, can become Catholic Priests.
English

The Catholic Church doesn't allow marriage.
The Apostle Simon Peter was married.
Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law so Peter could travel with Jesus.
Matthew 8:14-15 : "When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, He saw Peter’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve them."
Have fun with that one.

@ZubyMusic A game we used to play with our kids at dinner, how much it cost to eat at home vs the same meal at a restaurant. When they got older, they had to plan and cook the meal and budget it. My college aged kids now know how to cook as well as maintain a budget.
