And thats the end of my set 16, objectively very good set (much improved from 14 and 15) but didn't really enjoy it as much as I felt I should. It's more of a problem with me than the game I think.
Kinda dreading the return of vertical BS next set but hoping to be surprised.

@JustRemikun The late game is more flexible within the chosen line compared to most older set... for example on kai sa line you can play:
- 4 bruiser version with voli
- unlock kobuko if you find zilean
- go 6 void if you find bel veth
....

Set 16 is not flexible. The trait web means that you have 1-3 flex 5 cost slots, but that doesn’t mean your gameplan is flexible!
No TF? No Bilgewater
No Viego 2? No shadow isles
No Demacia opener? No Galio
No 2-3 void? No Kaisa
Path of blades? No Ionia
No ixtal opener? No Ixtal

@TheFabraxxx Set fatigue setting in for many people I see... but to be honest this is the best set in a while for me and I really wouldnt mind 2 extra months of It

Unlocking Kennen requires only one 2-star unit since you can go level 7 on wolves (stage 3 neutrals) and play six 1 stars, should almost never require rolling or cost you more than 2g of interest to hold from natural shops on stage 3.
Kennen is DEFINITELY the most annoying unit to unlock but it really is more intimidating than it actually is challenging- sort your bench beforehand and you can even position your board on the 3-6 combat round with key units on left, other units on right.

@TFT_AL3XEM True, but usually if contested I just tank loris instead and push levels after ori 3. The cap is very strong as you can eventually go T-hex/ Brock/ori/ orn/ lucian/vi/neeko/milio/loris.

16.3 Patch note summary
Honestly, I was upset reading the PBE patch notes because many things were skipped
Today seeing them prioritize fixing several core problems that require a lot of effort, it's fair to wait and see how the meta changes for better future balance
Great patch for me, my only doubt is why they want to nerf Diana sticking her to Leona. Also they lower down Bilgewater serpent generation without changing Tahm Kench unlock condition, which I strongly believe Bilge would be dead

Azir has the most counterintuitive itemization out of any unit I've seen for several sets now.
Most of Azir's damage comes from his passive. His active also has a relatively long animation, which makes AP items more efficient than attack speed items (additionally, he is a Marksman instead of a Caster so compared to most other AP units you're familiar with this set, he already gains ~1.5x mana per auto). Mana items are very bad- after 60 mana gained he has the maximum of two sand soldiers up, so from here on out you can think of each cast as equivalent to two auto attacks.
Much of his power budget is in the Shurima unlocks and also the free 2x extra frontline units (good synergy with teamwide tank augments like Bodyguard Training), so ideally you wouldn't itemize him at all if you have any other decent alternatives.

@josepao1o That is not what I meant, in my experience having a really hp stacked sion I still prefer moving items to wukong later, so I was wondering if you keep them on sion and why.

NEW EUW tech allows you to HARDFORCE T-Hex: Players are rerolling Anivia or Sona to feed to T-Hex. This allows them to circumvent being contested as they don't need Caitlyn 3.

@wigwugg I think bard will lose some rolls especially on later stages. Don't think Dino will get nerfed much except for less stats from eating 3 stars. Baron has already fallen out of favour, dont think they will touch it. They will probably start deflating some gold from the game
