@fawnpnguyen After reviewing a couple of the comments, I understood. I never learned this, but what a great way to check. It also helps with adding single digits...students struggle with this. Now to understand Cabal Set Theory. More learning.

@Frazier2008 @howie_hua I'm wondering if those strategies also apply to dividing polynomials which we see at first/second year university maths where I teach 🤔
My undergrads who knew long division pick up on polynomial division pretty quickly.

@Dean_of_math @CDaleMath 💯 I hear so much student thinking when they discuss the first task of the class. It's beautiful!

This means that the education of the 1900s should no longer exist as well -- imagine if medicine kept doing things 'the way that we've always done it', or 'when I was in school....'.
Alice Keeler@alicekeeler
The 1900's no longer exist. What things are we still holding onto that really are no longer relevant or only marginally so? I ditched my printer ages ago... sure, in a rare occasion I need one. However, it is so rare as to necessitate buying one.

@MarcusLuther6 @GBGEdu I tell my students a mark does not define you. Just the other day, I overheard one of my students repeat this to a friend. This student who was repeating me, always came to class with a positive attitude. I know she will be successful.

@MrVmaths I have done something similar to @MathWaite. Similar reflections on assessments. I provide feedback and then have students assess themselves. We have a chat while the students do a diagnostic for the next learning objective. When it comes to midterms we discuss and agree on mark

Going #gradeless in my gr 9 class this yr. As we approach reporting time, would love to connect with others who have used conferences to determine report card grades, esp in HS #ungrading

@sig225 This is cool! Power Automate...not an MS app? Thank you for sharing!

I revised "Desmos2OneNote" (which captures a student's #Desmos screens and creates a OneNote Page of them) to take advantage of some #PowerAutomate improvements -- and found a way to share it with others.
If you try it, let me know how it goes! onenoteschool.com/desmos2onenote… #mtbos
