Would you rather spend $200 billion to bomb Iran or…? A: give every teacher in America a $62,500 bonus B: provide downpayment assistance for 20 million young families C: build 1,300 rural hospitals

@FatMamaCass87 @sixfootcandy Cost of living rising is normal. I’m talking about the excess. We didn’t have the amount of luxuries that people now consider a “necessity”. You’re ignoring that.

As a Gen Xer, I can tell you boomers and even my own generation comparing their 20s to today’s 20-30 year-olds needs to stop. I paid $600 for a West Hollywood apartment at 23. Today it’s $3500. Burgers weren’t $20, they were $6 to $8 in a nice restaurant. Life is not comparable. It’s a completely different world now.

@MaxNordau He talks about scarcity, and then completely ignores the fact that the things you buy with money need to be produced, and inputs to production provide real scarcity that money printing doesn’t solve.

@TuckerCarlson I find it fascinating how Americans accept all sorts of conspiracy theories about their government lying to them. But then, when it comes to statements about other countries and former cold war rivals, the government and media are apparently 100% truthful.

@megha_lilly The west makes it sound like home ownership is impossible, but our population density is nowhere close to any other population center The reality is that we’ve built a ponzi scheme based on real estate and inflation

The West doesn’t like to hear this but the locus of power, wealth and success seriously seems to be shifting. You can either put your head in the sand about this or you can fix your economies and stop taxing your young people to death about this.

✨🇨🇳 Many young Chinese people post online videos showing their homes before and after purchase and renovation. China currently has the highest rate of homeownership among young people in the world.

I just spent 15 minutes explaining to a dumdum China-hating Asian face at work that just because 80% of Iran's oil goes to China, doesn't mean 80% of the oil China consumes came from Iran. 😐

Talk to any person under the age of 35 and this is no surprise. They're graduating to no jobs, stagnant wages, impossible to save enough to own a home or start a family. But the interesting thing is, it's not just young people that are concerned about this. I talk to parents and grandparents everyday that are very worried about their children and grandchildren. Easy to paint this as a young vs old people issue, but if you look closer, our young are hurting and everyone is feeling the pain.
Ben Woodfinden@BenWoodfinden

"Canada’s story gets even more depressing when only young people under 25 are counted. The country then falls to 71st, another new low. Young people were once, on average, the happiest Canadian cohort; now they’re the most miserable. And when compared to 136 countries, that 10-year drop in life satisfaction is one of the largest in the world, placing Canada just four slots from the bottom."

Stop saying Canada has free healthcare. It doesn’t. It has taxpayer-funded healthcare. Last time I checked, the average Canadian worker gets crushed by taxes. And the service isn’t even good. You could be waiting hours in emergency or years to see a specialist or find a family doctor. The only part of our healthcare system that works is MAID.

We need more Americans to speak up like this woman “I'm officially coming out as a Republican. The left has truly swayed me over to the right — I used to be on the left — I was an activist for the LGBT people before they even had a legal right to marry” “I can't stand y'all anymore” She explains how she makes one comment accidentally not using a pronoun and she is now being relentlessly attacked by the “woke trans mob” She says she’s going through extreme bullying from the Left The Left is even going to her old videos where she’s grieving her dead mom and bullying both her and leaving nasty comments about her mom “I've been nothing but supportive — at this point I'm coming out. I'm voting Republican down the f*cking line. I'm done. Next thing Trump should do is bring back insane asylums and put these f*cking people in it”

If you don’t think this is part of Trump’s plan I don’t know what to tell you. Remilitarizing Japan and courting them as a close American ally would box in China more than any other action. Very smart statecraft. Japanese people by and large adore Americans and American culture (and vice versa), and both have antipathy to the Chinese communist regime and a shared interest in curtailing its influence. Japan is a dark horse that would change the game if its oppressive central bank were gutted and it allowed itself to rebuild its military. The former crushed its erstwhile economic dominance over the last thirty years.
Fugitive Caesar@ThomBrady5

Everyone has been talking about how the next century will be China's century but the conventional wisdom has failed to consider the idea Japan remilitarizes
