Let’s talk about why emergency departments are full. We’re going to use Mary as an example. Mary is a completely fictional patient. Let’s say Mary is 72. Her family doctor retired 5 years ago. She’s in the ED after a fall “weak and dizzy” (we see this a lot.)

Do you have anything unusual memorized? I have chunks of Shakespeare bits, that have been important to me, memorized and nothing to do with them.

So, apparently as a writer, this is a bit of a controversial take: When I write, I want it utterly silent. No TV, no music, no background music. Does anyone else like to write like this?

@DALogan1972 @exfundiediary That is just obscene coming from a pastor. May be the same pastor who said to an abused wife (yep, me) in front of the abuser, that we needed to just got out to a movie every once in a while. What a travesty.

@exfundiediary Went to marriage counseling 25+ years ago. Only thing the pastor said after getting the date and time of the wedding was, "Lips to lips and hips to hips." That's it. That was the counseling.

I am sad to say that my husband's dementia journey came to an end yesterday, peacefully with me by his side. He was an amazing man, loving husband, devoted Dad and doting Grandad. It has been an honour to share his life. RIP darling, your struggle is done.

What is “the thing” that became impossible to do during cancer recovery? Mine is mail — I can’t even deal with it most days still. My best carcinomie couldn’t manage her laundry at all for years.
