Xenoblade X has some of the best armour designs in the series, but also some of the worst lol.
I give it slack cause the designs are very alien, but that doesn't automatically made them good

@TheThirdAegis I like 2's combat. It (especially Torna) was my favorite gameplay in the series until I really started to click with X. BUT, waiting 'til like chapter four to really utilize chain attacks properly is such a slog.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition screenshots! 60 FPS at 4k Resolution is nice, but what Xenoblade Chronicles 2 really needs is an update to the gacha mechanics. Every rare blade should be available for in-game purchase. I hope that's something they implement.

@kawoshiki I don't hate the gatcha system. I just wish it didn't mean grinding cores for an extra three dozen hours. Three playthroughs and I have still never seen Kos-Mos

You can beat the game only using Story/DLC blades it's not that big of a deal teebeeaitch. If you have the DLC the game just gives you a bunch of the better Core Crystals too so you'll be stacked early game

@kawoshiki I actually agree with this. 1 has the best story for me, it has perhaps the worst gameplay. 2 the story is fine, I'll always love it. Gameplay was the best (especially Torna) until I really started to understand how X's combat worked.

@hallaloth @KirPinkFury Maybe and hour after getting the skell. I think it was a me issue. There's just no impact to it, the combat doesn't look or feel good. It just felt like a quick time event without the rails, hit the skills in the correct order/time and repeat until they dissappear unsatisfyingly

I think it's even more terrifying in X because aggro range is absurdly long until you get a skell.

I just finished the movie and loved it. It was a fun story about humanity, exploration, adventure, smarts, (non-toxic) masculinity and even had a little love in it. I can see how a movie like this can lead you down to some really thought provoking questions on possibly where humans come from and existence of stargates and history as a whole!
