The tragic deaths in Karur are devastating and heartbreaking. Thirty-six innocent lives were lost, including children who were unaware of the realities of life, cinema, or politics. These children could not be taken at any cost. The problem lies on both sides. Failed to manage the crowd, despite knowing how it would gather. Lack of security and poor coordination, with inadequate or poorly enforced barriers, entry/exit routes, spacing, and medical corridors. Furthermore, despite the party’s advice to elders, handicapped individuals, and children not to participate, it’s the people and parents who forced themselves to be included alongside the innocent children is evident.
