I have no idea why this drama is on my For You page but everyone complaining about Undertale not having more languages supported is doing it in what appears to be completely fluent English

I genuinely don't blame Toby for rarely interacting with the community because you could be as clear, polite and genuine as possible explaining completely understandable things to your community and still get shit like this dismissing literally all of it

@insuffbeca but one important thing in comparison to canada is that french was the language of the aristocracy and politics for the longest time, and flemish was seen as a peasant's tongue. this is no longer the case, owing both to flemish protests and the regions now strongeconomic standing

0.0067% of the entire Population of Belgium live in the German speaking community of East Belgium and yet their language is entirely co-equal with French and Flemish despite the Region being a part of Belgium for just over a century. They even have three distinct passport covers.

I have written a long essay clearly and hopefully comprehensively making the case against official French-English billingualism in Canada. I hope you give it a read!

@krisowe I mean, do lots of positions throughout Belgium require speaking French, Flemish, and German, or at least French and Flemish? Or is it region dépendant?

@krisowe The issue that JJ has is more related to the idea that many government jobs all throughout Canada require bilingualism in the country’s two official languages. Is this the case in Belgium? I’m actually curious because I find this topic interesting.

@SpaceWalkerReal @cipherrecc In my opinion it’s completely ridiculous to believe that JJ is faking his accent in all his videos. He’s has no clear motivation to do something that ridiculous.

@SpaceWalkerReal @cipherrecc It’s more of a general issue I have with this kind of argument. I see it with regional accents in the US too. People will say “he’s faking it, we don’t sound like that.” The reality is one basically never has authority on whether another’s accent is real.

Half convinced JJ is a a psyop to make people hate conservatives. 99% of what he does is "I hate Canada, I love the USA, oh also I'm totally a conservative guys" while hating anything everything about Canada and wanting to conserve absolutely nothing.
. 🇨🇦 🌈@gtlem

Canadian Conservative @JJ_McCullough, who lives in BC, says that the Canadian people are "anti-American" & that he (McCullough) will "ALWAYS be on the side of AMERICA" 100%.

Grammar tip. "Join George and I at the game" is grammatically incorrect. It should say " join George and me at the game." If you're not sure, remove the reference to the other person in the sentence and the correct wording will be clear.

@PlsEndMe666 @stephen_taylor In the way i understand the word it could mean that or a plane crashing into something on the ground, like how a car crashes. It’s fine if you understand it differently but I think Stephen is using it like I would and probably does know what happened.

@insuffbeca @stephen_taylor When you think of a plane crash, do you think about a plane, one the ground, running into something? It's a plane falling out of the air and... crashing.

Anywhere else, we'd be asking "why did the plane crash?" and "how do we prevent this from happening again?" In Canada, we're asking, "why doesn't the airline CEO speak French?" I want to live in a serious country.
Paul Vieira@paulvieira

“I am deeply saddened that my inability to speak French has diverted attention from the profound grief of the families and the great resilience of Air Canada’s employees,” Air Canada CEO Rousseau said in a statement. wsj.com/world/americas… via @WSJ
