@philipbull The specific case in my head this morning is eq.7 here: arxiv.org/abs/1901.01540 For sure I understand the steps getting to it, but I could not have gotten there myself (I think at least in part) due to lack of practice on simpler (but not trivial) examples.

Is there a course somewhere someone can recommend which would help me practice the skill of /looking at a problem and then writing down the likelihood/?
