Thank you @POTUS Trump for appointing me as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas. @SecRubio and @SecWar are incredible leaders and I look forward to working with them closely to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our children and grandchildren.
The Western Hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over the last 13 months as Secretary of Homeland Security.
We have made historic accomplishments at the Department of Homeland Security to make America safe again: we delivered the MOST secure border in American history, 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S., we have located 145,000 children, FEMA delivered disaster relief at a 100% faster rate, we ushered in the golden age of travel, saved the American taxpayer $13 billion and revitalized the U.S. Coast Guard.

Despots are no different than organized crime. They don’t rule with the consent of the governed. Those who pledge loyalty to the despot and carry out violence against those who are disloyal are spared from the violence and share in the spoils.
The worst American president is 1000x closer to Mother Teressa than to the best of despots. It makes no difference why US would get involved, and it has no obligation to do so. But if it does, for any reason, including the most selfish reason like for “oil”, it’s a net good. The world has fewer despots, even if for a moment.
If it does so, US has no responsibility in what happens next. FBI isn’t responsible for the power vacuum after taking out an organized crime leader. Despots have absolute agency, they wake up every day and choose to continue being a despot instead of building a republic or a nation of laws. If whoever next chooses to be a despot, it’s 100% on them.
Call your congressman and senators. Tell them that US must always support the inalienable right to seek liberty and assist others seeking liberty and despots should sleep in fear.

Testing reveals Vital Farms eggs contain more linoleic acid than canola oil
A polyunsaturated fatty acid known to promote inflammation.
The report found that 23.5% of the fats in a Vital Farms egg are linoleic acid, which is higher than the 19% found in canola oil.
Since selling to BlackRock, Vital Farms has switched their feed from pasture forage to a soy blend. To support growing sales, all their 575 family farms now rely on this supplemental soy feed.
When eggs are labeled as pasture-raised, this might now mean they are fed soy and kept in cages with only temporary access to pasture.
Unfortunately, this situation is all too common with brands that sell out.

Every crowdfunding platform hits adverse selection problem at some point. Best combo is to keep a few shiny winners that prove out concept (like coinlist in the beginning and echo) and allow the tools to be used by anyone, but need to keep finding the diamonds and highlighting their success

Down to chat about this further but the further issue with the MetaDAO narrative is its just that - purely a narrative, like everything else to capture capital flow.
MetaDAO itself already does have an adverse selection problem (few high quality founders actually want to let 'futarchy' decide) and to the extent you have legal rights, the enforcement of those rights require a bondholder trustee-like construct. If you have automatic smart contract enforcement rights, you kill a founders autonomy (which is effectively what you are betting on as an investor).

This is somewhat true but I think the short-term winning launchpads are just gonna straight up do crime bc everyone believes legal is a meme (and also bc enforcement has been completely gutted).
Rn the EV is in just not caring about the law (unfortunate to say as a lawyer).

once CLARITY Act passes, every token launchpad is going to turn into a legal project to navigate the disclosures and other requirements--they will either bleed tons of value to law firms or inhouse the legal function and bleed lots of value to inhouse lawyers (unless they hire crappy ones in which case you won't want to use that launchpad!) on the plus side, this does mean smart technologists will try to automate legal stuff and make it more scalable--however, speaking as a lawyer who has been focused on automating legal stuff in crypto for quite some while, I think technologists dramatically underestimate the difficulty of this, mainly due to social and regulatory factors, and, well, somewhat irrational preferences that always seem to ensue when people are buying 'legal-ish stuff'

I do sympathize with this. My original attraction to crypto in 2017 was Ethereum’s vision of banking the unbanked
We were promised self-sovereignty, NFTs, and the metaverse. In reality, we got the next iteration of finance. Finance 2.0
L1s now realize they need to compete on execution with the true prize being building the global exchange for price discovery
We should be honest with ourselves and newcomers: Blockchains are global ledgers optimized for trading, value movement, and coordination. If you're building something outside that core vector, you've chosen the wrong stack
