Migrating off of clerk is probably the only one that's a little bit tricky because you're not actually able to export the passwords. Typically, this is more of an interruption, but it's still not the end of the world because all you do is pull all of the user emails into your new identity provider. Think like AWS Cognito or auth0. When the user attempts to log in, you just trigger a password reset flow, and then they just set their new password, and that's the end of it

If you're migrating off of Vercel, all you have to do is deploy the front end into your new environment (either AWS or a similar platform). Once it's running on that new environment and it's able to hit the API as needed, you then just update the endpoint or the DNS to point to the new front end

"Just use Vercel." "Just use Supabase." "Just use Clerk." Cool. Now your auth, database, and deployment are owned by 3 different companies who can change pricing whenever they want. And the rest of your product is wrapping OpenAI. At some point you have to ask yourself: what do I actually own here?
