Maths is not numeracy in the same way English is not grammar&spelling. Numeracy fueld maths Maths is beyond numeracy Maths can be completed without numeracy (oft with aids eg. calculator) Financial literacy is yet another field related to but not the same as numeracy or maths

@Miss_M_Maths @ehuttley FWIW the big barrier for younger students is why do we replace y1 and x1 but leave y and x Multiple colours of pen help identify which to sub in and which to leave Once the notation is not scary they'll be fairly happy

Find the equation of a line with gradient 5 passing through (3, 2). Why use method 2? I’ve never understood why they suddenly need this new method for something they’ve been able to do since Y9. Am I missing something?
