Today, I had the honour of visiting the Nigerian High Commission, London and engaging in a very important and productive conversation with the Acting Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mohammed Maidugu. During our discussion, I raised several urgent issues affecting Nigerians living across the UK, concerns that I hear about daily through messages and direct engagement with our communities. I strongly emphasised: • The urgent need for the establishment of a second Nigerian consulate in the UK to ease the overwhelming pressure on the London mission. 
• The serious backlog and ongoing challenges Nigerians face in renewing their passports, which continues to affect thousands. 
• The welfare and protection of Nigerian citizens currently in prisons across the UK. 
• The need for stronger support for Nigerian children in the custody of social services and ensuring their cultural and national identity is preserved. 
• The importance of providing structured support to Nigerian families who lose loved ones in the UK, especially during difficult and vulnerable moments. 
• The need for the High Commission to host quarterly town hall meetings to maintain open communication, transparency, and direct engagement with the Nigerian community. I am encouraged that he listened attentively to these concerns and acknowledged the challenges. He spoke about ongoing and upcoming changes aimed at making life easier for Nigerians in the UK and reaffirmed the commitment of the High Commission to better serve and support its citizens. This conversation is a step forward, but we must continue to advocate, engage, and hold our institutions accountable to ensure Nigerians abroad receive the dignity, services, and representation they deserve. The work continues.

Today in church, my heart will be with everyone who is afraid to step into a place of worship because of the rising insecurity in their communities. I will be praying for every family directly or indirectly affected since this nightmare began. I will also pray for Nigeria, that God heals this land, restores peace, and touches the hearts of our leaders with wisdom, courage, and the genuine will to do what is right. And if they cannot rise to that responsibility, may God TAKE them and replace them with men and women who truly desire to lead this nation with integrity. Lastly, I will pray that God exposes every hidden hand, every sponsor, every enabler of terrorism, those smiling in public but fueling destruction behind closed doors. Their days of deceiving Nigerians must come to an end.
