So essentially, the whole โpay the annual fee, get the latest deviceโ thing was a scam. I still need to pay an upgrade fee even though my subscription renews in December. And if I want to get the actual new device (since the 5.0 only has software updates, a longer battery, and is slightly lighter), I need to pay for a subscription thatโs more than 50% higher than it used to be. Really disappointed, time to move to a different device I guess.
