#depaving in progress making space for a copse with silver birch and understory planting at Kingsland Basin Nature Reserve. Satisfying to see layers of grey pulled away, revealing the soil. Project managed by @LAdelaideS funded by @MayorofLondon and @GroundworkLON 💚

@rktecture @RIBA @RIBASouthEast @Rural_Office @GrandDesigns Its also worth examining the relationship between cost and architectural merit. Is something better because its more affordable, or worse if expensive? Architecture is in the public domain so always a question worth asking.

@rktecture @RIBA @RIBASouthEast @Rural_Office @GrandDesigns Thats a good question. The RIBA jury did receive that information but the client wished it to be confidential. Some clients want their details and costs to remain private. If disclose was mandatory a lot of interesting buildings may not come be published or put forward for awards
