@JurajMikurcik @andymatthews Hmm, on Shawm House I would change quite a bit of the detailing with hindsight but we essentially used Tyvek UV facade under the rainscreen larch boards. Very cost effective and breathable. Longevity still to be seen but doing ok so far.

@rehpender @NickSimpsonArch @AllElseIsGooky I trialled it.. I didn't find it seamless unfortunately, it doesn't actually sit within revit, so there's lots exporting between files. Looks like there's a new one coming called passivlink, maybe I'll try that.

@NickSimpsonArch @AllElseIsGooky Nick, are Revit Plugins like Bim2PH not sufficiently seamless to be practical. Very keen to hear if you've any experience of them as totally agree it would benefit from seamless integration...

@AllElseIsGooky I agree that if someone could design a Revit plugin that is constantly evaluating the model as windows are added, walls adjusted etc and letting you know the impact on peak load, annual energy use, overheating etc, it would be a game changer for Passivhaus.

What an eventful night Friday was at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards. We are delighted to share with you that we won Residential Project Of the Year, for our passivhaus build in Warkworth, Godwit House. This home is the most Northerly certified passivhaus in England

Declining industry resiliency is being increasingly exposed by resource scarcity. Short term spikier pain of interrupted material supply chains masks the more insidious & lasting erosion of labour & skills. Unlike cement you can’t just ‘manufacture’ people thetimes.co.uk/article/price-…

@rehpender It wasn’t a calibrated test. Just an air check to look for any leaks before the first plasterboard goes up. I just walked around feeling for air with wet hands.

Anybody got any offcuts of Intello Plus in the North East? I’ve just come to the end of my roll and am about 3-4 metres short for my home retrofit. Supposed to be doing air check tomorrow. 😩

Thanks to the wonders of Twitter I have tracked down an roll-end of Intello only 20 mins away!

@Jack_fbr It depends on the detail of the model but aligning architect's remuneration with project performance seems a good thing to me. It may add a degree of accountability that they are uncomfortable with but it would reduce the amount of risk that is shipped onto supply chains.

@tracinggreen Not quite sure what you're trying to achieve Adam, but Tescon Primer is useful for taping Tescon Vana to rough timber if you're looking to take the intello past the noggins?

A query for all air tightness experts! As part of #retrofit on my home I am installing Intello membrane beneath ceiling joists. The membrane can run over top of partitions except at noggins. How best to ensure continuity of airtight line? Can I apply tape to rear of membrane?
