@jorgemanru this video is great...one thing that might help greatly is "building up recordables from zero" instead of showing the final state...add a couple "rich" objects and then show how you are repeating stuff and then abstract to recording vs looking at 40 tiny modules

This is very special: Jeffrey Hardy explains the recordables pattern we use in Basecamp.
Jeff is one of a kind. He is my reference when it comes to designing software with clarity and taste. I have learned tons from him.
And this pattern is ridiculously powerful. I don't think it has ever been properly explained. Until now.

C'est une dinguerie de se faire insulter comme ça par un mec corrompu, voleur, menteur, multi condamné par la Justice... Quel mépris. Et si c'était vrai, pourquoi il n'y a plus de prof ? Pourquoi cette crise de recrutement majeure ? Il tiendrait pas 2h dans une classe de GS. A un moment il va falloir se fâcher. Ce pays mérite une grève historique des profs. Si tous les profs s'arrêtent, le gouvernement plie en 2 semaines tellement l'économie est à l'arrêt devant les parents avec leurs enfants sur les bras. 2 semaines.

@_swanson Do you have to apply the class to the SVG or could you wrap it in another tag with the class? That way you could reference the SVG directly.

Can I make this any faster? my first test it was about 5x faster than the inline_svg gem
(Assumes you strip classes from your SVG and are using propshaft)

Anyone have magic Rails tips for improving performance with inline_svg icons? Caching icons does help but still seeing slowdown on pages with 100+ icons (data tables with 2-3 icons per row)

You'll start seeing captions in @GoRails videos now.
My Raspberry Pi 5 has been cranking out transcripts for 600+ screencasts using Whisper.
Wrote some Ruby scripts to hit the API to grab videos, used ffmpeg to extract the audio from the videos, piped the audio into Whisper and then uploaded the transcripts to our video host.
Maybe I'll make some screencasts on this if anyone is interested?

link_to_if in Rails trips me up every time.
It operates like an if statement instead of how link_to works.
Every time I reach for it, I'm trying to wrap some content with a link (if the link should be added). 🙃
