And that's speaking as someone who likes him. But not every player who's half decent has to be £100 mill. Can we stop it.

Not sure if anyone needs to hear this.. but there's not a single club out there paying 100 mill GBP for Morgan Rogers.

@Son_Lyme Hahah exactly he’s permanently out now. What I’d say about Rowe is we kept inviting him onto his favoured side, really played into his hands and we didn’t wise up once. Tried the same move six or seven times getting closer and closer.

@matt_utv Most wingers are in and out, it is what they contribute when they are out of form that counts as much as what they do in form. This is encapsulated in Leon Bailey.

Some of us were tipping Jonathan Rowe when he was at Norwich. That he moved from Marseilles to Bologna for a mere £16.8m makes me wonder what Villa's recruitment team were looking at this summer.

We need to have a conversation about Morgan. Starting to look like a player who's "made it". He's played a lot of games already for Villa, so he gets a pass when it comes to fatigue, he's done a lot in a very short period. But... Flicks, losing it under no pressure, he "looks" and feels different. I hope it's not becoming a wanted man..

We have to sell rogers this summer to one of them and the cycle repeats. We’re as rich but can’t spend.

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse But if you compare the spend combined overall it is impressive what we have achieved, fairy tail is not a word I use. But salaries can be inflated for many reasons and it doesn’t always mean better players even but to make a move happen when up against other clubs

@matt_utv @TomCollomosse I don’t disagree, and I actually like seeing Villa doing well. Villa have invested heavily, and to give them credit, it’s paying off. But let’s not paint this out to be a financial fairytale.

@TomCollomosse Once again, for the slow learners, what a club spends on transfers is only one part of the equation. Add in what Villa spend on wages, especially versus revenues, and it looks much, much different.
