@Im_RobM Villa beat them and other than world class saves from their keeper we would have gone through. They didn’t turn us over

It's embarassing how easy English sides are turned over by PSG. Glad my club know how to handle them #NUFC

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse not going to deny that we’ve made some bad purchases and wasted money but look how those clubs can spend due to the position the are in having grown restriction free. We have to sell rogers this summer to one of them and the cycle repeats. We’re as rich but can’t spend.

@matt_utv @TomCollomosse Agreed - investing heavily is one thing, but investing well is another. Looks at Spurs, or Chelsea. Both basket cases because of crap investment. Villa been much more shrewd.

💰Under Emery, Villa have spent about £300k per point earned. Chelsea c£2.6m, Spurs c£2.4m 💵 Villa net spend under UE about £73m. ‘Big six’ combined: £2.6bn 🤷‍♂️Isn’t it about time the rules rewarded wins on the pitch rather than off it? dailymail.co.uk/sport/football… #avfc

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse But if you compare the spend combined overall it is impressive what we have achieved, fairy tail is not a word I use. But salaries can be inflated for many reasons and it doesn’t always mean better players even but to make a move happen when up against other clubs

@matt_utv @TomCollomosse I don’t disagree, and I actually like seeing Villa doing well. Villa have invested heavily, and to give them credit, it’s paying off. But let’s not paint this out to be a financial fairytale.

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse With so many clubs and so few actual trophies available to win, and year on year the same clubs have consistently won said trophies the ones you mention are atypical.

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse So you say net spend is only one part of the equation, which it is and point to other nuances but then simplify the point by a trophy being the only metric of measure. Yoh can’t ask for nuance then boil it down to just that.

@park_footballer @TomCollomosse You because you are missing the point. The reality of the situation is how the big six profited from non existent financial rules ever since premier league started, up until ffp was introduced.

@TomCollomosse Once again, for the slow learners, what a club spends on transfers is only one part of the equation. Add in what Villa spend on wages, especially versus revenues, and it looks much, much different.

@_jwynny @LouisFinne52395 @xkqoriskf You’re an idiot. Villa care not about wolves, your there tagging blues, villas only real rival, while talking about Villa. It’s only like any other fixture of us you clown.

Kobbie Mainoo & Elliot Anderson combinations in midfield, don't think I'm not noticing this & wondering what could be. Both have been England's best by a distance so far.

🤔 If Tottenham were to be relegated from the Premier League this season - which side could replace them in the 'Big Six?'

Amadou Onana was 10/10 outstanding against West Ham. Covered everywhere in midfield. Great on the ball. His tackle led to the second goal. Constantly headed away West Ham set pieces & made a crucial interception from a late WHU header. Looked like a £50m player. #avfc 🟣🔵

@xtopspur @avfc_stef It's highly amusing. Villa fans not so keen on RT'ing me these days. Weird

@Son_Lyme Worryingly true. One thing that should be easy to remedy in theory.

Laziness is what defines this bad patch for Villa. Rogers had all the time in the world there, yet gets lazy and unbalanced and gives the ball away when there was no threat at all. Leading to a counter. Then a corner. Then a goal. Sick of it.

@CFCJnR Haha you Chelsea fans. Against Villa Watkins was genuinely fouled in the box and nothing. This was palmer standing on the Newcastle players leg, then he dived holding his ankle. Cheats.

"If Paul (Tierney) focused more on his job to make the right decision, we have a penalty, Woltemade kicked Palmer in the box". Rosenior lost his head after that Chelsea loss, referee gave our players yellow cards for winning the ball, and stopped the huddle.
