Congressman @RepJoeWilson and Congresswoman @RepSheriBiggs were two of the 215 Republicans to vote in favor of Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill." Biggs called it a "monumental step forward in restoring common sense." “It puts America first, our national security first, looks out for working families, and stands up for the values we live by every day in South Carolina’s Third District," Biggs added.

There are at least four hypotheticals that have to happen for any of what's said here to become reality. 1. The group's effort to count convention calls made over decades (or centuries) would have to be successful. Expect a lengthy legal challenge that could be successful. 2. The states would have to appoint attendees. This is not a hypothetical but it would take time and there could be legal challenges. 3. Somehow someone has to determine rules for the convention and states or attendees would have to agree. This would take time and there could be legal challenges. 4. The attendees would have to agree to something at the convention. Meaning New Yorkers, Californians South Carolinians and everyone else would have to agree. Does this seem likely? 5. Whatever the attendees agreed to would have to be approved by 3/4 of the states which sometimes takes decades.

A behind-the-scenes effort to force Congress to call a convention to amend the Constitution could end up helping Trump in his push to expand presidential power. propublica.org/article/consti…
