I understand the sadness and frustration readers have right now. Cancelling Washington Post subscriptions hurts journalists, editors and staffers, not our owner. WaPo is more than our owner and management. Please don’t give up on us. Many of us aren’t giving up on you all.

@royermattw @washingtonpost You know what really hurts reporters and editors? Resigning from one of the few well paying employers left. A blitzkrieg mass cancellation like this is perfect. You can’t credibly lay people off when your audience vanishes because of reputational self harm by management

The only people you hurt when you cancel your @washingtonpost subscription are the reporters who did not make that decision, are in a dying industry and who do the groundwork to feed the news to on air anchors and TV reporters. Jeff Bezos couldn’t give less of a sh*t about you cancelling your $120 a year compared to the $12 billion he makes annually.
