@ntahabercom Just goes to show if bodies were made better , how long cars could last if looked after mechanically , utter waste of resources to keep breaking down old and building new ,

@Heidi_Labour Bet all the consultants will be rubbing their hands ,

Today we have announced a huge ยฃ27 billion investment in our roads - one of the biggest ever investments in Englandโs road network. From fixing potholes to building major new schemes, this funding will be transformational for the drivers and businesses that rely on our roads every day.

Britain is 110% self-sufficient in lamb.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Not "pretty good." Not "mostly fine." One hundred and ten percent. We grow more than we eat and export the rest. We have done this on permanent upland pasture that cannot be used for anything else, managed by farmers whose families have worked the same ground for generations, using animals that have been optimised for these conditions over centuries.
85% self-sufficient in beef. 100% in milk. 90% in eggs.
The animal products on your plate, if you're eating in Britain, are almost certainly British. The supply chain is: farm, abattoir, butcher or supermarket. Measured in miles. Sometimes in tens of miles.
Now.
Your January strawberries are from Egypt. Your year-round peppers are from Spain or Morocco. Your salad leaves are from Israel in winter. Your green beans come from Kenya. Your blueberries are from Peru or Chile. They travel by refrigerated air freight, which is roughly fifty times more carbon-intensive per kilogram than road transport, to sit in a plastic clam shell next to a small flag and the word "fresh."
The environmental argument against British animal products is not an environmental argument.
It is a geography argument made by people who have not checked where their food comes from.
Check where your food comes from.

@AB5448672987633 @_RobbieMoore No they were using white diesel , all road work must use white ,only field work can use red
English

@_RobbieMoore But a few months ago when it was cheap they were all wasting red diesel driving tractors to London (which isn't a valid agricultural use of it)
English

@SharpyMrFaring1 @TrooperSnooks @ChrisGPackham Organic is fine , but only has a finite market prepared to pay the extra and put up with shortages in certain weather events , you wont feed 60mill people if it was only option
English

@mendipandy @TrooperSnooks @ChrisGPackham So, ditching organic farming will reduce food supply in such a way that it couldnโt supply the people of this Country?
English

Food prices likely to rise due to Iran war, farmers' union says . . . of course it does , as itโs nitrogen pumping , pesticide dumping paymasters profit from fossil fuel dependency to drive the industrial agriculture which is killing our home . . . bbc.co.uk/news/articles/โฆ
English

@SharpyMrFaring1 @TrooperSnooks @ChrisGPackham might feed a village / hamlet, but wont feed a city , you have no idea of the volumes required
English

@EA_Rice Yea did the same with Italy , im not a foodie but the quality and taste is noticeable , uk is addicted to ultra processed foods because they are cheap (better supermarket profits) , proper foods , animal fats , meat ,eggs veg , is more healthy ,

@LizWebsterSBF @SteveReedMP Steve Reed is a Labour stooge in a poor fitting suit , why they keep reeling him out
English

โฐ Today, @SteveReedMP says we must prepare for food shortages.
But in the High Court last week, Treasury lawyers argued there was โno good reasonโ to delay or consult further on IHT affecting farms, citing the need for flexibility to protect public finances and avoid delaying revenue.
You canโt weaken food production and call it resilience.

@FurkanGozukara Says the man whos country carried on developing Nuclear weapons despite telling everyone they wernt
English

@TrooperSnooks @ChrisGPackham Que , all the wooly hatted allotment greens , telling you to use companion crops and proper rotations , quite how they will feed 60 mill people on that ,i dont know ,
English

@ChrisGPackham Yet you simultaneously argue that UK livestock production should be reduced by at least 50%. In which case, if neither FYM or N is acceptable to you, what do you suggest we use as fertiliser? The bodies of the dead?

Everybody was quick enough to take the knee so I find it sickening there hasnโt been a word from footballโs good and the great ( youโre quiet Ian Wright) over the plight of Iranโs womenโs football team who are being forced to take a flight home from Australia and face a perilous future for simply failing to sing their national anthem.
Those poor women will be dealt with by a leadership that thinks nothing of killing between 6,000 and 30,000 young people in a matter of days.
Whereโs the public show of support from the Lionesses, or any of the MoTD gobshites, especially the women pundits or presenters.
The silence is deafening. And shocking.

@Timoldland Dont buy anything with a 3 cyl engine , all utter garbage , and avoid a dsg gearbox , half arsed auto

@Lifeinvestmoney If you cant connect a simple battery ,thats grade school day 1 , better leave the bonnet shut !
English

My battery died in my car yesterday Dealership wanted $400 and Autozone wanted $350 for a new one
So I did the only logical thing you can do
Bought $120 worth of tools, spent 4 hours researching on youtube, put the battery in myself, connected the cables backwards and fried a $3,200 computer
