Off to Vegas… reminding me of all the things I hate about flying: 1.Armrests so sharp they double as medieval weaponry. 2.One bag drop agent valiantly battling a line of 300+ people (bless them, but come on). 3.Seats designed for hobbits. 4.Paying extra for legroom and still feeling like I’m in a sardine can. 5.The “Are we there yet?” energy of layovers longer than my actual flight. 6.That one passenger who insists on reclining into my lap. 7.Mysterious “equipment issues” that somehow always get resolved an hour later. 8.Boarding groups that feel like a Hunger Games selection process. 9.Wi-Fi (if it works at all) so slow it’s basically 300 baud Morse code. 11.Overhead bins that seem to shrink every time I fly. 12.The incredible shrinking bathroom. 13. Tetris-esque process to make my backpack fit under the seat.

Yes - it's possible to create a key in your collections and shard each based on the tenant key. The challenge with this is that you may have an uneven distribution. As you already know, MongoDB's sharding feature distributes data across multiple servers. For a multi-tenant system, you have a few options: * Collection per Tenant: This is a straightforward approach, but it could lead to a large number of collections, which might be hard to manage. Also, if the data size varies significantly across tenants, it could lead to uneven distribution of data. * Shard per Tenant: This approach might work if the number of tenants is relatively small and each has a significant amount of data. However, MongoDB has a limit on the number of shards you can have in a cluster, so this might not scale well for a large number of tenants. * Tag-aware Sharding: This allows you to control the distribution of data based on shard tags. You can tag each shard with specific tenant identifiers and ensure that a tenant's data resides on specific shards. This is a more flexible approach and can help in achieving a more balanced distribution of data. Hope this helps!

2/2 For eg : if I have 6 collection 3 in shard A and 3 collections in shard B . Is it possible via any methods ?

@mlynn is there any option to distribute whole collection across different shards without dividing data . For multi tenant architecture I am keeping data of each tenants in seperate collections . So I need to move whole collection itself to another server .
