My name is Chris and I’m an alcoholic. Today is Good Friday and Day 20 waking up sober. This day always makes me stop and think about sacrifice, pain, and what real love looks like. The kind that leads to new life on the other side. These past 20 days haven’t been easy. Feels like I’ve been carrying some heavy weight, letting old habits die, and facing stuff I used to numb with a drink. But I’m showing up clearer, with more energy, no hangovers, and actually present for my kids and life. Sobriety didn’t take anything from me, it’s giving me back everything I almost lost.
