I’d take this back in a second if they sponsored us of course but Fanatics has been an absolute nightmare of a partnership for the NHL. As the future commissioner of the league I would never partner with a generic brand with no history of holding any sort of weight in the sports fashion world. Making merchandise for fans such as shirts, towels and off branded less expensive / affordable jerseys is one thing but to have THE BEST PLAYERS in the world rocking it is a tough look. It has JC Penny’s written all over it. The Nike jerseys at the Olympics were so clean. Imagine warming up for a NHL playoff game in a “Fanatics” sweatshirt / under gitch. That’s so JV. I wouldn’t even wear it. Terrible swag. Brutal. The NHL needs to get this right and fix this. It’s not national league at all. It’s cheap looking. Again I’d take all of this back for a 7 figure deal. -Swish, a guy who calls it like I see it.
