Saying that all Gulf states were somehow complicit in attacks on Iran, simply because of a supposed American presence in the region. Is a distortion of the facts. It’s driven more by bias and emotion than by facts, and it reframes events in a way that excuses Iranian actions. Yes, if Iran is attacked, then the attacker is in the wrong in that instance. But that alone does not make Iran righteous or justified in all that it does. Because Iran itself has a long record of aggression in the region. It was the aggressor and facilitator of aggression in Iraq, in Yemen, in Syria, in Afghanistan, and has acted against Saudi Arabia as well. The Haqq does not stand with the aggressor, the Haqq doesn’t stand with Iran either. A state cannot repeatedly act with hostility towards its neighbours and still claim moral high ground simply because it is on the receiving end of conflict. And despite years of engagement and support from countries like the UAE and Qatar, that has not led to any meaningful change in Iran’s behaviour. If anything, it reinforces the perception that it does not honour goodwill or reciprocity. So the issue isn’t about picking sides emotionally. It’s about consistency. If we are serious about truth and justice, then we apply the same standard across the board.

Isn’t it strange that Iran hasn’t targeted oil facilities in Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan? If Iran really wants to hurt Israel, it knows that 70% of Israel’s oil supply comes from those countries. Disrupting that flow will seriously damage Israel’s economy. So why hasn’t it gone after those routes? It does make you stop and rethink what’s really going on in this conflict.
