@nathancoxey @BrysonGray No, it doesn’t at all. You’re just retarded

Yes, my master Christ wants me to keep the Sabbath.

@BrysonGray The lengths you will go to serve your masters
English

@MackPrison @BrysonGray Thi just shows how little Scripture you understand
English

@BrysonGray Christians don’t recognize sabbath on a Friday. So you clearly don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.
This goes to show how much you don’t know about your own faith. You’re a bought puppet pushing Israeli nonsense. You’re a lukewarm Christian.

@Gsteel2020 @BelteshazzarAD I’m asking for perspectives. I have my own
English

@nathancoxey @BelteshazzarAD Are you asking for clarification about James 2?
English

@hollyburke12322 @jerry_duck48985 I have my perspective. I’m curious what others see in the text.
English

@nathancoxey @jerry_duck48985 Nathan faith is between you ( or whoever) and God check with him

@BelteshazzarAD If I wanted Grok to give me an answer I would have just asked Grok.

Faith without works is dead
This already implies one HAS FAITH, but it’s dead, as in, doesn’t move. Can’t do works/charity to profit others. You didn’t read the beginning of the Chapter. The whole subject of James 2 is telling SAVED people to get off their butts and do works/charity. Let me prove it
Your issue (common misunderstanding from picking out a verse and not reading the Chapter) is you didn’t read from the beginning of James 2 to understand WHAT, or WHO he’s talking about.
He starts this chapter of James (and every chapter except for one) with, Brethren… the subject of who he is talking to, people that are ALREADY saved, talking about THEIR works. He said “faith without works is dead” to SAVED PEOPLE
If he meant “if you don’t have works, you don’t have faith” he would have just said that. But that’s not what he’s saying and I’ll prove it with scripture
Read the beginning to understand who and what he is speaking to and about, then realize you’re getting your works based on “salvation,” out of context from verse 14 and on
James 2:14-17
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone
Notice these verses. The subject of “profit” isn’t to the man of faith… it’s about the profit of the needy
In verse 15 and 16, he’s making clear that if someone naked and hungry comes before a SAVED person and said saved person says to them, “Go forth in peace! Be warm with your belly filled!”
If a saved person (HAS faith) gives “kind words” to the needy person, but doesn’t give them (charity/works) the things they need, clothes and food, then what does your faith PROFIT this needy person? To that needy person, your faith (again the subject is a SAVED person) is dead. It’s lifeless. It doesn’t move. It can’t LEAD anyone to Christ. We then seem as hypocrites.
Even verse 17 implies one HAS faith. So faith without works is dead does NOT imply one doesn’t have faith.
The other point people use in James 2 to “claim” you need “works” is…
James 2:21-24
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
What people, that believe you need works to be saved THINK this is saying… is that Abraham was justified TO God by his works of taking Isaac up the mountain.
That’s NOT what this is saying and this is why you misunderstand it.
There are 2 types of justification.
-To God by faith and NOT of works.
-To man, THROUGH our works, because they can’t SEE our faith outside of our works.
Abraham was well over 100 when he took Isaac up the mountain and WAS circumcised at this time.
Genesis 12, decades earlier, when Abraham was 75 and UNCIRCUMCISED, the Bible says that THIS is when Abraham became justified BEFORE God, by his BELIEF/FAITH.
Hence James 2 talking about Abraham’s works PROVING his faith, to man. He was justified before man. Not God.
Here is scripture PROVING Abraham was NOT justified to God through his WORKS.
Romans 4:2-5
2 For IF Abraham WERE justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but NOT before God
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness
4 Now to him that WORKETH is the reward NOT reckoned of GRACE, but of debt
5 But to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for righteousness
English

@hollyburke12322 @jerry_duck48985 So… faith that’s alive is having faith, dead faith is the opposite?
English

@Gsteel2020 @nathancoxey He’s trolling Catholics by referencing James 2 which they twist out of context

@TeknoratOz
That’s why there is NO throne for the Holy Spirit bc it is NOT a ruler in its own sense ,it is the power of the God who rules the universe, that is something you don’t want to grieve for to do so is rejecting the sender.

@MalcangiSarah Especially since the book of Revelations literally tells you not to add or take away unless you want plagues

This is super creepy. You can’t change what God has written.
Shadow of Ezra@ShadowofEzra
American actor Duncan Trussell, who attended Peter Thiel’s Antichrist lecture, says Peter Thiel wants to change the Book of Revelation and reshape humanity’s future using advanced technology and AI. Trussell claims Thiel wants to “fix the apocalypse” and believes he alone has the power to alter the destiny God has for the world. “Silicon Valley has been transformed into this Christian mega-city.”

@nathancoxey Are you suggesting your faith is flat lately ?
English

@BelteshazzarAD @TorahRight Im vehemently against Catholic Church doctrines, rituals, etc.
English

@TorahRight @nathancoxey I believe this all started because he rebuked me when I was disagreeing with a Catholics false doctrines?
Perhaps I’m wrong. I don’t understand his refuting me to begin with.
English

@BelteshazzarAD @TorahRight No way duder. I’m in the same boat. I get told all the time if I’m not part of church x, y, or z that I’m not saved.
I was enjoying yalls dialog
English

@nathancoxey @TorahRight I guess I’m wrong? I see you restack people that have specifically said I’m not saved because I don’t belong to their Church.
English

@BelteshazzarAD @nathancoxey Where does @nathancoxey write that "certain works are required for salvation"?
