@SolaSixMillion @ParsonsJer14643 It’s not…I don’t do man-made traditions.
English

@ParsonsJer14643 @BrysonGray That doesn’t sound promising
English

@ParsonsJer14643 Easy. Jews were obligated to get circumcised on the 8th day. It’s what us due.
The uncircumcised person can still reject and be accepted by God, hence why he used Psalm 32 as the example.
English

@BrysonGray WOW. I agree with that.
Now, Paul still wrote this, explain its meaning
"Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness
English

It’s in the screenshot. You didn’t read it?
YeshuaBenDavid@ParsonsJer14643
@BrysonGray Where? Please show me where it says that.
English

@Christen_Fandom Salvation is based on your works though, just not circumcision
English

@BrysonGray Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought you were talking about some kind of works based Salvation situation.

@BrysonGray Jokes on you! Jesus fulfilled the Old testament law. He is the New covenant
English

@BrysonGray Paul explains in Romans 4 that we must be circumcised for Salvation? Please point me to it.
English

@SolaSixMillion It doesn’t exist as in KJV as it does in earliest manuscripts
English

@BrysonGray Bryson what are your thoughts on 1 John 5:7?
English

@ParsonsJer14643 The “works” there is exclusively circumcision
So, no, james doesn’t contradict Paul. You simply just stopped reading.

@dtorres91705 @DocKrease So, it says people will distort the letters of Paul to promote lawlessness, correct? That’s the context of the passage?
English

@BrysonGray @DocKrease Yes. It is talking about lawless people. The point is that some people distort Paul's writings like you do. You don't have a proper view of the law and therefore are considered lawless as well.
English

@dtorres91705 @DocKrease 1. Is the context of 2 Peter talking about lawless people using Paul to make you lose your firm commitment?
English

Actually, I can. And I did because it calls for it. People like you distort the words of Paul. Your dismal reading of Romans 2 is proof of this. And I've said this to you before and I'll say it again. Just because you're a legalist doesn't mean the rest of us are anti nomians. I'm all for calling out lawless people. But the problem is that most of the people you are calling out are not. I hate "easy believism" too. But I equally hate the heresy that Christ isn't enough.
