So then, what law and what works is James saying we must keep?

A person is not justified before God by faith alone. That’s according to James in the only verse out of 31,000 verses in Bible that actually says the phrase “faith alone”.

@brysongray @michaeljknowles When James talks about being justified, he is not talking about salvation. He is talking about how someone's faith is demonstrated, proven, or vindicated. Someone's faith is proven by their works.

Canada’s Bill C-9 just removed a legal protection for preaching religious beliefs in good faith. Religious texts are no longer protected under that law. So now it comes down to interpretation. If truth can be labeled as hate, then who decides what you’re allowed to say? That should concern every believer.
