@CatholicRadTrad we're not to have carved images of anything in the heavens, on the earth, or in the sea. Jesus is in the heavens. The Father also makes clear in Deuteronomy not to worship Him the way pagan nations do. Pagan nations built statues. There is no president for putting up statues.

@nathancoxey Only Christ saves us from becoming a slave to sin. We do sin every day, no surprise, but if we repent Christ is faithful to raise us up and help us.

If you sin every day doesn't that make you a slave to sin?

@Brandos72 The verse you quoted is irrelevant to the point. I'm not claiming to be without sin, nor do I think someone who walks in the Spirit and doesn't sin is without sin. If I was bitchy, forgive me. But I'll stand by my comment about AI.

@nathancoxey Interesting that you can't conceive of someone being able to call up two Bible verses without AI. Also interesting that the quotation of scripture (which you asked for) evokes such a visceral and bitchy response from you.

Why are we diminishing the power of God’s Spirit. Why do so many of yall think the Spirit can’t keep us from sin when the Bible says otherwise? If you can’t give me an answer without quoting another man instead of Scripture you should probably sit this one out

One of the greatest failures of modern fathers is not merely being absent physically. It is also about being spiritually passive while still being present in the room. Your children need more than provision. They need discipleship.

@JohnAndersn3c8 It’s just a curiosity. Why stick to this idea that every single day we have to sin because of our nature. What’s the minimum and maximum we can go without sinning. Who decided the times? Getting a lot of flack just for asking

@whet66054 It you remove the plank from your own eye to get the speck out of your brothers eye. Useless verse if we can’t stop. How do we fulfill James 5:19-20 if we can’t remove the plank from our own eye?

@whet66054 Yerp but we’re aloud to judge righteously according to the text. We have plenty of examples of this throughout Scripture.

@nathancoxey One of my absolute favorite verses says "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, for whoever you are who judge, whatever you judge in others, you yourself are guilty of" Romans 2:1 basically its saying to be careful when calling out others sins or accusing others of sinning

@JohnAndersn3c8 It’s only possible with the Spirit. You can’t do it apart from God. Why do you assume sin is bound to a timeline. Like we’re doing to sin every 24 hrs. Like what? Where’d this idea even come from. Why do you believe it. Why not believe the power of the Spirit and walk in it?

@_jonbowlin Yall say He was fully God in the flesh but then say He’s not fully God while He’s in the flesh by proxy. You’re authoring a lot of confusion and very little substance of value. Why would equality with God not be a thing that is grasped if He is God. He was still FULLY God right?

@nathancoxey Jesus said that while He was in His incarnate state. He was submitting to The Fathers Will while on earth. That doesn’t make Him any less God. You are ignoring the text that plainly states “He did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped”

@nathancoxey The Bible even says that not all who say they believe will get into heaven because outwardly they say they believe but what really matters is how you live "By their fruits you will know them"

@_jonbowlin You keep quoting verses and definitions that don’t support your stance. Christ doesn’t count himself equal with God, even though they are one, achad. The Father is greater according to Jesus

Philippians 2 and John 1 tell us that Jesus was along side the Father eternally. What creature ever had equality with God? “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,” Philippians 2:5-6 ESV bible.com/bible/59/php.2…

@YahwehGraced What’s interesting here is that I said Christ is Lord and He is divine in the same sentence multiple times in these threads. Then he bore a false witness anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️ Everyone’s looking for their moment at the expense of someone on this app. Especially believers.

@YahwehGraced A lot of it comes down to opinion instead of referring to tangible doctrine or facts. Trinitarians hardly quote the text. Evolutionists say “we think” a lot.

Arguing with Trinitarians and evolutionists is basically the same experience. Neither fully understands their own doctrine, and that half knowledge makes them experts at dodging the actual argument.

Who decided that sin is on a 24 hour timer? Why not 48 hours? Or less? Where did this idea come from that you will sin every day. That within a 24 hour time span you will sin. Why do we think we’re bound to this. Where did this idea come from? It’s not in Scripture…
