This is also kind of like a counterargument to super-intelligence? Like you may get fully human-like simulators, but super-intelligence isn't guaranteed. Although there are some counterarguments to that, too, like how they could act a lot faster than normal human time.

My prediction to understand the future of AI is that they'll continue being self-producing stories, and they'll evolve beyond text, but video, audio and images will become part of it, basically. This will make them simulators across all convincing parts of human interaction.

But devs don't have to do shit. They should make the game they want as long as they think it's sustainable. Devs don't have to localize a game, they don't have to make an easy mode, they don't have to make a story mode, they don't have to make twitch mode, photo mode, or whatever

I don't think that game devs *have* to do anything. Things like localization are an economic incentive that may or may not be part of the artistic incentive.
Players should then be free to do whatever they want with the final product, including re-localize and remix if they want

Insane how people will actually argue with you over the importance of Game balance. Any poorly thought out system is just handwaved away by telling people its THEIR fault for not inventing a challenge run mid playthrough

@RobinPoedev after i beat ER i did think it was a "hard" game but not like so notably hard that i felt like a god gamer for beating it but apparently i was just using the item that the game gave me wrong :)

I wanted to add more details about Disgaea 8 that I know of:
Mounted Monster Units return from DD2
2 main male characters at the start like in Disgaea 4
Plot involves a race through a western setting styled netherworld
Its a retelling of D1 but in a different universe.

So apperantly NIS is going to release Disgaea 3, Disgaea Dimension 2 and include a port of BOTH the Witch and the Hundred Knight games for PC sometime later this year.
Theres also a talk of an 8th Disgaea game in the works aswell, seems they are going for a Wild West theme.
