Same thing with Stranger Things. The Duffer Bros. still planned way ahead, just not necessarily since the very beginning, but yeah that's a constant with any tv series.

As a point of reference it took them 10 years to make 8 films. The average run time of the films is 2.5 hours
They are going to make SEVEN SEASONS (8+ hours per season) in the same timeline

I say this with immense love for the movies and John Williams but the best thing this TV show can do...and the best way it respects thr films...is be its own adaptation.

@REFLOG18 Opening Day should be the easiest thing for Manfred. People love it. For 50 years it started at 10am in Cincy and games started every hour after that. Kids stayed home from school, dads grilled brats on a weekday. Everybody played. Full stadiums, the best pitchers.

The main change that I want from the Harry Potter HBO Show is Harry and Hermione ending up together at the end.
Even J. K. Rowling has admitted she made a mistake with putting her with Ron.
This change needs to happen.

@nickbitt29 Which is probably why they don’t say the word logic in the movie. They say intellect.
The bottles scene in the book is literally just reading a riddle and Hermione saying “yeah, drink that one”. It is not some grievous omission.

@DustinCanFly It's HBO, so anybody hoping for a disaster is (almost certainly) going to be disappointed.
My issue with the whole thing is WHY. Why are we retelling this story beat for beat when the movies and books exist. Tell a new story in that universe, like Hogwarts Legacy did.
