@anotherburner35 @ronaldobrown_98 Not only is he excellent, he ticks the boxes off the pitch too. Proper professional, was always mature for his age. Good age too.

@ronaldobrown_98 What's your thoughts on him. Whenever I watched him I was not impressed. Might be the fact he played CB for them quite often because of injuries.

I think if United want Tchouameni, they’ll get him, even more comfortably than the likes of: Baleba Anderson Wharton Tonali Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in a United shirt next season.

This is why I never really wanted to be famous/get too big on social media bc your guard has to always be up… the more ppl you’re exposed to, the more evil you’re exposed to. The more of ppl‘s mental illness you’re exposed to. Ppl hunt you. Men hunt you.

@ronaldobrown_98 Real never sell players unless the player is a busted flush. I would take any of the 4 mentioned above before a Real off cast.

@strongkid21 @ronaldobrown_98 Nah that’s city. Arsenal have spent less. And city went and got game changers in Guehi and Semenyo in January and Arsenal didn’t. City have better players, especially now their CB pairing is very strong.

@occupied_9 @ronaldobrown_98 They’ve spent like 800 million in the past 3 years they have the deepest squad in the league it’s no one’s fault but their own for spending it on meady centre backs and dms

@ronaldobrown_98 Especially considering he was booted out by Amorim. It’s not like he bailed. It’s very over the top.

@tactixology I don’t even think it takes people having a super deep knowledge, just some basic logic. Like when a manager spends the summer asking for De Jong, maybe signing Casemiro instead is alarm bells. We’re so used to not having basic competence. Just a bit of it will go a long way.

THE CARRICK DECISION With Carrick vastly outperforming all reasonable expections in terms of results, but with his system also showing undisputable tactical gaps, United face a complicated choice. Stick with Carrick, convinced things will improve with more time and more suitable players, or look for a big managerial upgrade, the sort of which might not be available this summer. The issue with going with Carrick is that: 1) United don’t seem to have deep tactical knowledge in their sporting department, people with real authority who could work with Carrick, e.g. on a plan to fix pressing next season. Is Wilcox supposed to be doing that? 2) the failure to address systematic issues then usually leads to the club trying to overcompensate by building for that manager in a frantic fashion, impeding long-term squad development (see: ETH, RA, etc) What ends up happening is the club spending too much on players and profiles that have dubious potential, while also neglecting and not investing enough in key areas, regardless of who the manager is. Not saying it will happen with Carrick. But I’ve always maintained United need much more tactical knowledge and authority in all club areas, to be able to support - and, crucially, challenge - the manager. What we’ve seen in recent years is an attempt to support managers with smarter recruitment and better operational execution. But we’re yet to see United provide the context and knowledge for managers to adapt, grow, develop and overcome. Tactical issues that ETH and RA had, evident for months, largely went unresolved. It’s been too much of “let the coach figure it out”, waiting for a divine intervnetion, instead of “this needs to be dealt with, let’s come up with a reasonable plan of action”. The club should aim for a more modern, hollistic approach, to completely allign different departments and stop yearning for a miracle-man to take care of it all.

@JohnnyFitz1 @ronaldobrown_98 They’re already butting heads so it’s really more of a push. I’ve seen that loads of times. We need to stop letting these refs convince us everything’s a red card.

@occupied_9 @ronaldobrown_98 I've never seen another instance of a player throwing his head forward like that and not getting a red card. I've seen much less and red cards handed out for it.

@unitedhan For me City have better players. Arteta causes his own problems by going so clear earlier in the season. But the team with more money and better players usually wins the title.

@ronaldobrown_98 Shite refereeing and pathetic VAR have kept Gabriel on the pitch. If Casemiro does that, if Martinez does that it's a red. This is the blatant inconsistency from referees and VAR. It's not a difficult decision, it's a clear red card for violent conduct, always has been.

@ronaldobrown_98 He was excellent. And he plays wi the maniacs in midfield who are far more erratic in passing. Underrated how many 50/50 situations he wins

@ronaldobrown_98 We’ve gone from 15th to 3rd with Casemiro and Bruno huge drivers in doing so If we fix the midfield this summer with CL football then the club will have been proven correct in their squad management.

The lashings I received for lamenting United for ignoring the midfield last summer. “wE’Ll waIT TiL NeXT sUmmER” gimmick. 12 months is a LONG time in footy. Needs change, worsen, amplify or expand. Now United need like 3.5 midfielders, LW, CB and a FB either side.
