@Peter_thoc you live in the UAE. As an immigrant, you have no role in its politics. Even being born there does not automatically entitle you to citizenship, a passport, or a Golden Visa. That is why most immigrants understand the boundaries and know it is not their place to dictate political opinions in a country where they are guests. The UK, EU and US have an immigration system that is too loose, too tolerant, and too easily exploited. People arrive and, far too often, start acting as if simply living there gives them the right to the right to make demands, reject local values and tell locals what they should accept. It stops feeling like integration and starts feeling like entitlement. You can see why that frustrates native Brits and other citizens across Europe and America. Immigration in controlled numbers is one thing. But when people begin to feel like strangers in their own country, resentment is inevitable.

@TheBarakaShow British born only is not the same as white only. If the man in question was from bangladeshi descent but born in the UK there would be no issue. Since he would be british by birth and eligible. You are not making fair comparisons

Good points, but Europe is still a sleeping giant. The EU and UK outsourced too much of their economic and military backbone to the US under the comfort of alliance politics, and that complacency is why this wake-up call was overdue. That said, point 5 is obviously not working as Immigration is still a major issue in the EU and UK, and denying that will be dishonest. The problem is not immigration itself, but the quality of people let in, weak immigration enforcement, and softness on immigration linked crime. A serious state cannot accept everyone, blur its borders, and hide behind loopholes dressed up as tolerance. Boundaries matter. Take the UAE approach for example; if you are an immigrant and you commit a crime, you are prosecuted and deported very quickly, no matter how minor people may try to make it sound. That creates deterrence. People think twice when they know there are real consequences, not endless loopholes, activist excuses, or weak systems that shield bad behaviour under the guise of tolerance. And citizenship should mean something. Stop handing out passports so easily, because once nationality becomes cheap, it loses its value. British or European citizenship should be hard to obtain, not treated as an automatic entitlement just because someone has lived there long enough. A country has every right to protect its identity, its borders, and the meaning of belonging.

If I had a pound for every time a MAGA account bellowed these mad MAGA myths me, I could fund European defence myself. 1. "Europe would be conquered in a week without America" Europe has 1.7 million troops, 515 nuclear warheads, five aircraft carriers and 1,400 combat jets. Russia couldn't take 20% of Ukraine in four years with a million soldiers. But sure, a week. 2. "Europeans live in no-go zones run by Sharia law" The "no-go zones" are normal neighbourhoods with kebab shops. The most dangerous thing about them is the parking. 3. "Europeans have no freedom of speech" Europeans can criticise their governments, protest in the streets and mock their leaders on live TV without getting tear-gassed or shot. In America, immigration agents check your social media, ICE arrests people for their opinions and deports them without trial. "Free speech", American style. 4. "Europeans pay 60% tax and get nothing for it" Europeans pay tax and get free healthcare, subsidised university, a year of paid parental leave, 5 weeks holiday and a pension they can actually live on. Americans pay tax and get aircraft carriers. 5. "Europe has open borders and anyone can walk in" The EU's border agency Frontex has 10,000 guards and some of the strictest visa requirements on earth. The difference is Europe doesn't cage children on camera to win votes 6. "Europe would be speaking German without America" The British Empire fought Germany for over two years before America joined. The Soviet Union lost 8.7 million soldiers fighting Hitler. The French Resistance ran the intelligence network that made D-Day possible. America showed up in Dec 1941. The war started in 1939. Every single one of these is repeated daily by people who've never owned a passport and likely never will.

That is not a serious statement of international law. And saying “an occupier has no right to self defense” is complete and utter nonsense. There is no legal right to murder civilians, kidnap them, carry out suicide bombings, or fire rockets at them. And it is exactly this mindset that keeps that region trapped in perpetual conflict. The second you start excusing attacks and violence as “resistance” and rejecting any compromise, you are not talking about peace anymore. You are talking about permanent war.

Real events you’re turning into propaganda by stripping out context. We both know the story behind those images is not as simple as you are making it sound, so I’m not going to waste my time going back and forth on this with you. No one is calling Israel the good guys, but pretending Israel alone carries all the blame while the other side was innocent is dishonest. You keep using one side’s actions to erase the other side’s wars, choices, and violence.

Nice propaganda meme, but it proves nothing about some daily, official “Greater Israel” master plan across the whole region. And the picture conveniently leaves out the part that does not fit the narrative: Israel returned the entire Sinai, withdrew from southern Lebanon, pulled out of Gaza, and even removed settlements in the northern West Bank. Yet the picture itself includes territory Israel already returned or left, so the whole argument falls apart. That picture is just nonsensical propaganda. It also does not erase the fact that Arab states chose war against Israel repeatedly, and when direct wars failed, proxies kept the violence going after that. You don’t get to point to what Israel did and pretend the other side was innocent.

Yes, some Arab leaders offered peace deals from the 1990s onward. And at the exact same time, others kept feeding the conflict with intifadas, suicide bombings, rockets, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad. So stop dressing this up like one side offered flowers and the other side only offered bullets. The truth is, peace efforts and violence existed side by side, and pretending otherwise is dishonest. And the West Bank looks like this because Israel took it in 1967 war, Oslo left it chopped into Areas A, B, and C without a final deal, and then years of terror, the Second Intifada, Israeli reentry, security control, and settlement expansion locked that reality in. So yes, settlements are real, but do not pretend the West Bank got here in a vacuum

@ogsince84 @EthanLevins2 My dear friend: Which West Bank are you talking about, and is anything left of it?! The Arabs have extended their hands in peace to Israel since the 1990s, but even today, Israel's leaders have only one vision: expansion, killing, and destruction.

Complete bull shit. You’re talking like Israel just attacked innocent, peaceful neighbors for no reason. The Arab world chose war against Israel again and again, first directly, then through proxies after direct wars kept failing. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon all went to war with Israel. Then came the armed groups and proxies that kept choosing violence over and over. And wars have consequences. Historically, when you start wars and lose them, you lose land, leverage, and control. That is not shocking. That is how history worked almost everywhere. And even then, Israel still gave back the entire Sinai to Egypt, withdrew from southern Lebanon in 2000, pulled every soldier and settler out of Gaza in 2005, and even removed four settlements from the northern West Bank in the same disengagement, only for the violence to continue anyway through the same proxy mindset. So spare us the fake outrage and this dishonest, one sided version of history.

Israel occupied Palestine, the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, Lebanon, and southern Syria. It bombed and destroyed Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Tunisia, and Iran, and assassinated virtually every Arab scientist in every country! Yet, Arabs and the people of the Levant are branded as terrorists, while Israel is portrayed as a source of peace, lest you be accused of antisemitism!

What’s killing NATO isn’t the European refusals to access to US bases, but Trump’s unilateral decision to redefining NATO as a US force-projection tool rather than a collective defense arrangement. That’s the constitutional coup against the alliance. Europe didn’t break NATO, Trump did. ft.com/content/e2347e…
